  • exelent!

  • GREAT JOB ! Been there x4 MCI State time Ma. Big flashbacks from the seventies I think everyone should try it. Find out who you really are

  • do you know where you can find some long real footage of it?

  • JOHNNY CASH RULES!!!!!

  • Greystone Chapel one of my favourite on the album!

Truely amazing man was Johnny Cash

  • Gotta like Johnny . He was born in Cardiff Wales. We are very proud of him here

He once said he would trade all of his fame to wear the famous blue shirt of the Welsh rugby team just once.

  • Pull your head out of your ass. Anyone who knows a single thing about Johnny Cash, knows full well that he was born in Kingsland and raised in Dyess.

  • thats just what the man wants you believe DeadLegs.

His real name is Owen Llewelyn and he left for America because he was being persecuted for his Muslim faith.

  • Yeah , he had a milk round in Merthyr for a while

  • great footage , 5*

  • Folsom Prison blues & Cocaine Blues & Greystone Chapel

  • The only prison that actually "works" is the Canadian Forces Service Prison and Detention Barracks in Edmonton, AB. The only prison in North America that still serves its prisoners bread and water when they act up, and the only prison where you have to earn even the most basic privileges - like speaking. People that spend even a week in that place most definitely come out a reformed person...all prisons should be run like they were in the early 1900's, maybe people wouldn't keep going back...

  • that won´t work. Otherwise every country that imposes the death penalty would be crime-free

  • Delogriffith dont wish to seem rude , but you are talking out of your arse. Are you 14?

People kept going back to prison in the early 1900s didnt they twat

May be the people then used to say , if only they ran prisons like in the 14th Century , with torture chambers , people wouldnt want to come back.

I hope your career as a republican politician goes well

  • Actually, I am 27. I am also tired of seeing revolving-door prisons that are more like resort clubs than punishment centers. I am not a republican, but I am conservative. I would actually prefer to see open season on career criminals - need to brush up on my 1000 yard shot. And yes, I can make a 1000 yard shot.

  • Good man . I have a .50 cal sniper rifle mounted in an Eyrie on my land , in case anyone tries to steal my collection of REO Speedwagon memorabilia.

Tomorrow me and my missus have booked a weeks holiday in San Quentin Correctional centre. I have heard how much fun it is.

  • What is the name of the first song?

  • Cocaine Blues

  • How high is the water mama.

  • TWO FEET HIGH AND RISING!

  • Tears as we smile...only if you could see all of us up here in Toronto...We love you John from millions of us up here in beautiful Toronto,Canada..June we miss you so much love.

From all of us, as Sir Cash would have wished it, we our sure under the grace of God...

To all of our American friends..tears..must go

    Bless

  • is that why the richest nation on earth imprisons more people per capita than any other country in the world? or is it a growth industry? poor sons-of-bitches making money for the man, and when they try to take a little bit back for themselves, they get locked up like animals for the rest of their lives. so, do tell, how does prison "work" exactly? and for whom does it work? thanks.

  • go to hell

    hes a legion

  • you missunderstood me, I mean like FUCK YA Its Johnny Cash an awesome musicians, I did NOT mean fuck Johnny Cash, I love Cash!

  • hello....im Jonny Cash

  • great video

  • Johny Cash proved he was more than just a homosapien, he was undoubtbly a neosapien.

  • Johnny Cash meant to expose the fact that in those times, people got arrested and sent to jail for just a minor thing, like steeling a television. People where sent to jail for 25 years, this isn't quite realistic to put someone away for that long. Other side is, that he wanted the jail system to reinstate people in socioety after they did there time. Because that would really make a change.

  • Or maybe he was a very nice guy. He also related alot with native americans.

  • nice comment. you are absolutely right. i know what im typing..

  • greatest musician, ugliest motherfucker... word

  • What songs is he playing at 2:09-2:36.Thanks in advance for answering .Cant wait to look it up .I'm a new fan to Cash .

  • Greystone Chapel

  • Cocaine Blues

  • It is not Cocaine Blues. It is Greystone Chapel.

  • Excellent video... I was 5 years old when the Folsom prison album came out and my Mom went and bought me the album. I remember sitting in front of my little record player listening to it over and over again. On the album an announcement came over the mike for one of the inmates requesting he was wanted in reception, I still remember his number #88419. 88419 may still be in Folsom or maybe he is free or dead who knows. Never the less it was the best album.

  • Rose you look like kC from *walk away*. the other version of folsom Prison sounds

    great.

  • i always thought Johnny Cash was one of the coolest entertainers of all time along with Elvis, we dont realy know why he decided to play in that prison, it certainly helped his career because people are still buying the record today, on the other hand we would all like to think its because he cared about the men in prison, i think he did it for a combination of both reasons and thats fine with me

  • Johnny Cash was the Man in Black; the person that personified all the suffering of all victims of chance and life. He wants to share their suffering; "carry it on his back" for them.

Whether it be those in prison only as "a victim of the time", or anyone else. Listen to Man in Black, and you'll understand why!

    RIP J.R.

  • long live SUE =]

    this rules

  • That was great! I wish that they filmed the "Folsom Prison" album like they did with "San Quentin", so we could see the legend perform that awesome concert.

  • Nice trailer - when is the film coming out?

  • In the USA: 14th of October on the "Legacy Edition" by Columbia Records. Features two CDs with both shows uncut, and a DVD with the film.

  • why did johnny want to make the ppl in jail have a good time , if they are rapist and killers they deserve to be in there if they are in there , prison isn't saposte to be fun they shouldn't be alowed to even have fun ..

  • because hes famous and johnny wanted to play there to pass the time

  • its because he was a good man and he cared for them.

  • ya but e livedin jail too

  • Johnny Cash was a very simple person. He never forgot about where he came from, what he had escaped. Unfortunately, if you don't understand a term called "grace"; really understand it, you would never understand why Johnny did what he did. He knew, as any wise man does, your past, present, or current condition is that....conditional. I totally agree with you. Rapist, murderers deserve to pay for there choices. It doesn't mean that they should be forgotten. There is evil n there is stupid.

  • Looking at it from the demographic of Johnny Cash's listeners:

A bigwig tells Johnny that Christians listen to his music and they wouldn't want him singing to rapists, killers, and the like. Johnny replies, "Then they aren't Christians."

  • exactly, jail is not supposed to be fun, and it is not. I've been there. But until you've been in with the killers, and the rapists, and the felons, you realize that there is a very small line between you and them. Johnny was not there to entertain. He was there to let them know that someone cared. If you don't understand that I get it, but I also pity your outlook, but respect your opinion. Maybe in time you will understand why the "man in black" did what he did. Go watch "Walk the Line"

  • i don't know what an arab prisoner would say... but i liked the music like i like this

  • Yeah and as I heard there will be footage from the actual concert included on the DVD in the Legacy Edition! Yeeeeeaahh!!

  • I just saw this on the public television station

  • What did you see on it?

  • Wait, i think you saw "The Man, His World, His Music", not this.

  • It was this, I'm sure of it, it was a PBS station one night

  • If no one knows, this clip is 100% for sure the DVD that's being included into the Legacy Edition of At Folsom Prison.

  • Great video NorthernLightProd.
