why does EVERY roofline on todays cars look EXACTLY the SAME!!!
DONT designers see the boredom of their ways...? a Mazda, Acura, M-Benz,
Toyo, Volksy,Hyundai, Kia,....if you took the emblems off these cardboard cutouts you couldnt or wouldnt bet your life you could name every one of them correctly.
@italy4blktop also cars have no charecter now. Back in the day people would be really proud of their new mustang or camaro or 409 or chevelle or whatever. But nobody really gives a shit about their corolla
@ThaSweKillah that's correct. The k-code 289 came in at '65 with 271 bhp, but there was also a dealer option known as Cobra Sting, which meant you could order a new intake manifold for 3 two-barrel or 2 four-barrel carburetors.

Anyone else think that the Mustang was a little inspired by the Ferrari? I mean, he's talking about "european sports car look", the mustang has a galloping pony on the grille, the ferrari has a bucking one... and look at the '64 Ferrari. It looks a little more rounded but it looks a lot like the 64.5 Mustang. Even now, they have blackout panels for the back of the S197s (best generation ever) to make the car look more ferrari-like, in my opinion. Just kind of something to ponder.
They didn't think of the name or emblem until basically the 11th hour... for a while it was gonna be the cougar! And i'm sure the Ferrari had some influence but the planning of the mustang started long before the '64 Ferrari came out.
Love it.
