im having a problem, well is not a problem but is anoying, im using sonar x1, and when i open the addictive drums with separated channels, the bass drumm and the snare are mixed in a same chanel , the snare on the left side and the bas drum on the right,,... how can i fix this? i want the snare in its own channel because of this the snare doesnt sound centered :/

@harakyryx Its a plugin, right. I dont know if its different in fruity loops ( i think not) but with other software you have to open the vst instrument slots and ad addictive drums in one of the slots and then choose it in your midi track. The plugin file (i think its a .dll) must be in the plugin folder of fruityloops for this step.

@6Ripper9 To get it to load up in FL9, go to Channels > Add One > More..., and then find it in the list there and enable it. It should then show up as normal in your Channels list.
@completebastard The install in FL 9 works great and is easy to do, Its the Authorization process that is the hard part. I can't get an authorize code but they have my reg key and my computer Id number. I now have AD on "2 computers" and every time I try to authorize I get this. I know there is a remove button but I cant get to that and I'm on the 9th day of my 10 day grace period. I bought AD in a store. My next step is to get Xln's tech support.

@nellings6 Mmm I think you can do that... What you have to do is exporting the GP file as a MIDI file, then you must have any software like Reason, Cubase of Fruty Loops to import the midi file you exported from GP. I think thats the way you can do what you want... cheers!

@vivelehardcore I'm using Pro Tools (Mbox). No clue how to straight hook it, but I know there is a way. Are you PC or MAC? I know M-Audio keys can hook direct by way of USB. Actually there is one video on youtube of how to hook V drums to computer. Just not sure what you'd be looking at w/o software. I suppose midi configuration in your computer might have to be set up in order to recognize it.
@narutoanddbzrock Dude, I had the same problem. I recommend you uninstall and reinstall. Keep the installation directory in the same drive as FL, and if you have windows 7, don't save in x86 in Program files.
Good luck. Also, try adding ADD thru the mixer. As in, add effect/instrument. I'm sorry, I can't remember exactly where it was, but I could get home and check. Let me know if these tips worked.

@JJJakes10 EZD is way too processed to be of any use in a REAL production. For a home setup EZD are great, but in a real studio they don't hold a candle to AD...peace out...

@SocialistFish I had already returned another drum software they didnt know anything about ... same reason...I had asked them quite specifically what I needed to make the first one work and the salesman said "A Computer" . I returned that one and got the addictive and was assured that was all I needed by the department manager..wrong again...returned that on Sunday...Helpful hint: if you have to return something to GC hit them on a Sunday..they all had hangovers and didnt want to argue.

This is a great plug-in. It lacks many of the more obscure samples of BFD2 (mic leakage and such like) but it sounds pretty much as good without being a crazy size in GB.

I bought AD a few days ago and i'm having a blast. Best drums sounds i've heard on software and plenty of possibilities using the FX, eq's and whatnot. One thing that i really love is that you can adjust the buzz from the snare. To me this is one of the killer features and it makes the drum kit sounds way more real. Thanks XLN!
Go to your TD6, find the midi options menu, or the TD 6 equivilent, then change the midi keys on your drums to work with them, if your stuck, get an online tutorial for it.
@Estebanfuturo Download the 1.5 update from the website, then right click the help button and open the map window. Then you change the map from default to your drum kit. It should be in the list.
Hi, i have a problem using thjis software... I installed it and I used the presets and hear the sound of the snare and kicks etc, by clicking on them with no problem at all....( Im using cubase 3....) but just as soon as I import a MIDI and select Addictive drums as a output for that midi track, it stops sounding, i cant hear the midi, nor the presets anymore
AD uses a different drum map than GM. You have to find a program that can convert your GM file to AD. I use MidiFileMapper. It's free, and seems to work perfectly. Good luck!
I did, the thing is that addictive drums doesnt sound anymore at all, i cant even hear the single hits by clicking on the snare and toms and so.... it will start sounding again if I uninstall it and re-install it, but just as soon as I load a midi It will die again
@immortalx50 superior drummer is more comparable to AD. EZdrummer is aimed towards the songwriter/demo producer, whereas AD nad superior drummer are aimed at more advanced applications (specific drum programming etc).
AD is more advanced than EZDrummer but for certain applications EZDrummer is hands down far better to use than AD. just depends what you want.
equalization is NOT everything. can you edit room or overhead mic's parameters? do you have an additional bus channel? do you have built-in compressors in all channels? can you change whole drumkits or some parts of your current drumkit in ezdrummer? NO.
@immortalx50 yes you can change drumsets if you have them theirs more to it then you think .. I also have addictive drums and yes it is better than ezdrummer ... i like to use them both depending on what im working on...
You can use this for acoustic drums (rock and country music) and Battery 3 for Hip-Hop and R&B. This sounds so realistic and good. I think it's better than BFD2 and Superior Drummer 2.
It's not a Stand Alone app, its a plug in - you need to use it in a host app. I use Adobe Audition. But if your a serious user Cubase or Logic are probably better music apps.

I returned that one and got the addictive and was assured that was all I needed by the department manager..wrong again...returned that on Sunday...Helpful hint: if you have to return something to GC hit them on a Sunday..they all had hangovers and didnt want to argue.

This is a great plug-in. It lacks many of the more obscure samples of BFD2 (mic leakage and such like) but it sounds pretty much as good without being a crazy size in GB.

I bought AD a few days ago and i'm having a blast. Best drums sounds i've heard on software and plenty of possibilities using the FX, eq's and whatnot. One thing that i really love is that you can adjust the buzz from the snare. To me this is one of the killer features and it makes the drum kit sounds way more real. Thanks XLN!

you dont need to change the key mapping on the addictive drums, you just need to change the midi keys on you drum (td-6)

Go to your TD6, find the midi options menu, or the TD 6 equivilent, then change the midi keys on your drums to work with them, if your stuck, get an online tutorial for it.

@Estebanfuturo Download the 1.5 update from the website, then right click the help button and open the map window. Then you change the map from default to your drum kit. It should be in the list.

Hi, i have a problem using thjis software... I installed it and I used the presets and hear the sound of the snare and kicks etc, by clicking on them with no problem at all....( Im using cubase 3....) but just as soon as I import a MIDI and select Addictive drums as a output for that midi track, it stops sounding, i cant hear the midi, nor the presets anymore

AD uses a different drum map than GM. You have to find a program that can convert your GM file to AD. I use MidiFileMapper. It's free, and seems to work perfectly. Good luck!

I did, the thing is that addictive drums doesnt sound anymore at all, i cant even hear the single hits by clicking on the snare and toms and so.... it will start sounding again if I uninstall it and re-install it, but just as soon as I load a midi It will die again

@immortalx50 superior drummer is more comparable to AD. EZdrummer is aimed towards the songwriter/demo producer, whereas AD nad superior drummer are aimed at more advanced applications (specific drum programming etc).
AD is more advanced than EZDrummer but for certain applications EZDrummer is hands down far better to use than AD. just depends what you want.

equalization is NOT everything. can you edit room or overhead mic's parameters? do you have an additional bus channel? do you have built-in compressors in all channels? can you change whole drumkits or some parts of your current drumkit in ezdrummer? NO.

You can use this for acoustic drums (rock and country music) and Battery 3 for Hip-Hop and R&B. This sounds so realistic and good. I think it's better than BFD2 and Superior Drummer 2.

It's not a Stand Alone app, its a plug in - you need to use it in a host app. I use Adobe Audition. But if your a serious user Cubase or Logic are probably better music apps.
