  • MEO 245 were a great pop band, seems like they're totally forgotten now. I used to love their album and would play it over and over again.

  • Ahhh!! What memories!! MEO245's Screen Memories & Peter Cupples "Fear of thunder" albums are the main reason I took up bass!! Blown the dust off both LPs & played them back to back!!

    Just love it!!

  • love this very much the new wave and post punk go well together like a marriage, especially with DRUMSTICKS awesome

  • Well done nzoz ahh the memories bass beat rips this song along i was at the mushroom gig too man we had talent back then you guys are right mid eighties it all turned to sh## dont suppose you got any Matt Finnish hanging around cheers

  • @cruiserblue thank you... as for Matt Finish, try nzoz1984

  • If I may add my 2c worth here. I reckon the golden age of oz music was between mid 70s to mid 80s, other comments seem to forget the gr8 bands of the 70's such as the Hooks, ACDC, LRB etc. Oz music went downhill after that, Why? No gigs bc of pokies, noise complaints AND no more Countdown where unknowns where given a go (Rage is good but lets face it, not everyone is up at 3 in the morning to catch a new act). Thanks once again NZOZ for keeping this music alive (UR a Legend!). PS MEO 245 Rocked..

  • @VinylGuy63 thank you and i agree!

  • How good is that bass?? Such a great sound.

Had the 7" ..... nearly wore it out

  • It was my 72 Jazz, they borrowed it for that session....

  • Wonder why the keyboardist covered the ROLAND on his Jupiter 8 with gaffa? Great song though, thanks for posting!

  • I love this song ... I remember it so fondly

  • Heard them play this live at the Bowl at the Mushroom Evolution Concert in '82.

  • tasmanian band!

  • wow, a meo245 vid - that's rare!

  • gotta say it once again music was NEW FRESH and ORIGINAL lots of new sounds world wide my golden age of music was late 79 through to about 86 then it started to get bland again. still some gems pop now and then up but not in the explosion of talent there was then :)and some of the aussies were most definitely part of it

  • They did a song called Lady Love influenced by Dianna Ross. Used to do great GabrielGenesis covers before they got their hits.

  • it sounds good

  • Most of us outside of Australia (USA here) only get fed Men At Work and INXS, not that there is anything wrong with either but it is good too see a more comprehensive sweep of the Aussie music scene from the early to mid eighties. Thanx for the post and keep up the good work Nzoz.

  • Thank you... there'll be plenty more in the near future.

  • The early to mid 80's were so creative. And Australia definetley produced some really amazing music, bands and artists...
