@authmaax You can play this game with a gamepad but you would never get the best times and for some races a gamepad would make the driving impossilbe. To really get the most out of this game you need a steering wheel like the Logitec Driving Force GT.

@flipwalker I have the game and you can paint every one of your cars on GT5. When you buy a new car, you get a paint color with the color of that car. You can use this color once on ANY car, standard, or premium.... I love this game. :)

Iracing was made from the ground up to be a simulator. it eschews being a fun game and isntead is focussed on hardcore ppl who want to simulate the experience of driving a real car. gt5 is ultimately a console game, that is realistic enuff to come across as immersive but also not so hardcore that it completely turns off gamers. even if iracing is more realistic, it by no means means that it is a superior playing experience to gt5.

Honestly this argument has gone far enuff. ppl, who gives a shit if iracing is more of a simulation than iracing? apart from being excessively pedantic, there is really no noticeable differences between the simulation experiences. gt5 may not be exactly like driving a real car or an exact simulation but it is sufficiently realistic so as to provide an immersive experience (im making this judgement based on prologue, trailers and comments by ppl who have played the game)
