My phone was losing connection. After using gingerbreak my phone lost internet connection again after a while and I could only call and text. Then a day later I couldn't do anything and when I tried a call, it said I was with verizon and to make a collect call? WTF. I have a new phone now but I don't think ill root again with ginger break, I'm not sure if that was the prob

works like a charm and you CAN switch sd cards after, i tried it and it worked perfectly and after you root it install busybox and root checker and if everything is good u just successfully rooted ur phone :)

@DreSpeezy Every1 I know that rooted their triumph still can't tether. They said virgin mobile considers it stealing but charging some 1 for using their own connection like sprint does is stealing & a load of crap. I had wifitether on my old treo 700wx 6yrs ago when it was just a free cab file.

ye I got a problem man, is there anyway to downgrade back too the old firmware? once I had rooted my droid x phone and now when I got the new Gingerbread firmware I cant seem too root my phone now id used gingerbreak 1.2 its wont work, keeps hanging when trying too rooting my phone,

No, it also works on most versions of 2.2 Froyo. However it will NOT work on S-On devices meaning it won't work on a MyTouch 4G, etc.

Why would you want too? With Gingerbreak it doesn't require a PC, you just simply download the APK to your phone, click Root Device wait for it to finish and you're done [providing you don't have an S-On device --- it don't work with those].
