@sly8stair According to Hauppauge website the 1445 HD PVR records Component Video (YCrCb) is recorded at resolutions up to 1080i, while audio is recorded using optical audio with Dolby AC3 or two channel stereo audio. 720p and 1080i is still HD, though not 1080p HD.
HELP! my TV and Monitor ( I would like to be able to record on both) doesn't have a component input, is it possible to us a component to hdmi converter or something, or is it impossible to juse it without a component input. I'll appreciate it a lot if some1 could help me :)
@BEWAREtheDrunkdog You can buy a component to HDMI converter from Amazon for about $33, not sure why it wouldn't work but you may want to check with Hauppauge to see if they know of any issues first.
Heyy, ive check 100 times its all plugged in exactly right everythings perfect, hd tv to. so i click component channel yea yea, then i click 720p and u see the do u accept this settings for like 1 second, then the screen goes black but i can see it on my laptop though, but on the tv its a black screen, When i click 576p it all works. Help Please! Thanks ( I GOT A HD PVR Gaming edition)(PS3)
@SmackThatAssJosh You're positive you set it to component on your TV? It will be labeled as component not HDMI. Sometimes even shutting your PS3 after setting it to project through component and turning it back on can fix a black screen problem. If everything is in order, it could an issue with your television set itself or the cables you are using. Did you download and install the new drivers for your Hauppauge by the way? If your drivers are not up to date that could cause issues too.
@SmackThatAssJosh I noticed you posted this question on several videos by the way. You may want to watch our entire video and see if it helps if you haven't already. Best of luck and hope you get your Hauppauge working!
