I used trailer tires first, they did work but too much vibration. Also if you do get them to work well all it takes is one broken blade to cut a tire and you have to start over.

Lot faster than a chainsaw mill. How acurate are the cuts? I know with a metal bandsaw a little to much preasure and you get crooked cuts.

how do you control the depth of cut ? Do you clamp the saw frame to the gantry when the depth is set, to prevent vibrations ?
