Wow! I was there 30 yrs ago and the squadbays and racks look exactly the same but we were never allowed to talk and relax like that. That 's quite unusual. Our DI's would have had us in te classroom thrashiong if we shot the shit like that.
@LosAngeleno1959 yeah I was there 8 yrs ago and it definitely wasn't like that. Looks like MRP to me with all the crutches and broke dicks hanging out.
I happen to be in MRP during this film. Like sharksfan said, pull your ego away for a sec because 90% of thoose men are your fellow Marines today. Thoose who got sent home hade just as much fight left in them as anyone but there are time limits to how long you are allowed to be in MRP. To anyone who wasn't sent to M.R.P imagine being weeks from graduating and then getting sent to a place where time stops. Im not asking you to show respect but shut your fucking trap
Seeing this shit almost brings a tear to my eye, I was so close to graduation and they discharged me because I had a "serious" injury, it was only a couple bones broken in my wrist.
To those who have having a fit like greg cookie and ghostguy you need to relax and get over it. These fine younr men have just a few minute's to be able to let loose and enjoy time with people who took time out to be there for them and support them. MRP can be hard and they fight hard to go back to training. Leave them alone they did step on those yellow steps but maybe you forgot that huh!
This is PCP and MRP, whic his not regular boot camp. PCP is physical conditioning platoon, and MRP is medical rehab platoon (i.e., guys who got injured during boot camp). PCP is for guys who have to do some extra conditioning in order to make it through boot camp. In other words: this is the alternative to quitting altogether. Many of them will end back in training.
i really hope thats some kind of summer camp thing because that is NOT how i thought it would be if those guys can get into boot its going to be easy fo me
Are you kidding! These jokers look happy to be in MRP. I graduated boot camp in 1990 and like terp00 commented, Boot Camp was far different. No video cameras, dancing, or any reminders of any kind of life on the outside-save pictures from loved ones. I wouldn't want to serve in combat with those softies anyway...especially the wimp in 2:05!
dont worry cleerview. im not sure how they got this video. i graduated last january, and we were allowed nothing like this. full isolation from the outside world, like it should be. things havent changed too much i dont think....but then again, i didnt go to boot camp in 1990. haha, but i do promise that this is a fluke. im still trying to figure out how they got this video
What has happened to my Marine Corps? They allow video cameras in the squad bay, and allow you to smile?? It was FAR different in 1992 from today... This makes me sick!
