Katie- you are beautiful. I love your honesty and real approach to life. Thank you for sharing your story/videos and all with us! I have gotten lots of good ideas from you. When I was pre-op you REALLY inspired me to have the courage it takes!! Thanks a MILLION!!
I've been engaged for more than a year, but the realization that I am getting married is only just beginning to hit me. Wow! It's going to be awesome!
hey Katie!! So good to see u! Itotally get u about having that picnic before the finish line! Been trying to get down another 10 lbs but dont really do anything to get there..lol
I love when I open my subscriptions and see a new vid from you. You're just so honest and interesting - you remind me of a modern day mary tyler moore! lol .. that probably means absolutely nothing to you at your age! but i use to love that show when i was a kid. congrats on the wedding...so excited for you 2.
i always enjoy your vids. like seeing your tweets too. sounds like the wedding is moving along. i hope you show us the dress soon. my boyfriend is nearly 7 years post op from RNY and he bounces up and down over 40 lbs from his lowest post surgery weight- to his highest. he really does not "try" any more, he just goes along. i think it is wise to find a "goal range", maybe not 40 lbs worth, but something so you can not feel like you are "gaining too much". keep living the dream and being u
Yeah, it's unrealistic to think I'll wieigh the exact same thing forever. I think a five-pound range will feel about right, but I'm still struggling to figure out where that range should start. Some days 170 feels good and strong and healthy, other days it feels like I've given up on myself and just don't want to admit it. But if I push through to 158 and then don't like it, that's a whole nother story and I won't mind rebounding back to 165/170.
Stress causes weight gain!? Aggghhh! No, j/k! I'm getting more zen abot the dress -- who cares what size it is -- but really want to feel healthy on my wedding day. It's so close!
I love your videos! So exciting that your wedding is in 16 weeks!
when I went dress shopping the consultant told me Wedding dress sizes are always different then normal clothes. usually by 2 sizes so not to worry about the size!
Yeah, I have to care less about that stupid number on the tag and more about how my body feels. Deep breaths. I really think I can get to a healthy weight my the big day! (Even if I'm still wearing a size 12 :)
great to see ya again. i do desserts only on weekends period. it gives me something to look forward to during the week and i have soooo very far to go... anyway its great to see ya again. waves~~
If you want this, you can do it Miss Katie!! And you are right that you ARE absolutely beautiful as you are today... but I totally get what you said about not wanting that "residue" of still feeling pudgy on your day. I am the same way. If the scale goes up just 3 pounds, I feel like a tank. It's not at all about the "number".
Yeah, the mental part and wanting to FEEL like I'm healthy is the hugest thing. If I were a healthy weight, even if I were still a size 12, I'd feel awesome. Thanks for the encouragement, girlie. I think I can really get there!
I love your updates, as they are so honest. you have 16 weeks. Get back to basics. You can do to this!
Im a food addict. I battle with it every day. You are MY inspiration. I just cleared 200, and ive been teetering between 196 and 200. but for me, I used to be 325. thats a HUGE deal.
I just remind myself.. every meal, that im not done yet. and sometimes I give in. Sometimes I dont.
just remind yourself your normal. Your a normal girl. Even skinny people battle with this.
Thanks for the reality check and the encouragement -- and CONGRATS on breaking into onederland. That's absolutely awesome! I'll save you a spot on my picnic blanket in the 170s :)

great to see you!
Remember this: your goal weight is an arbitrary thing - artificially set by you.
You are getting married, you are getting married, you are getting married! YAY!

Oh, desserts on the weekend is smart. It's funny all the little rules and plans we set up to keep ourselves on track, huh? Whatever works!
