  • hahaha funniest shit ever. i know wut u mean dude

  • Again your very right. When ever i,m doing a vid i stop talking , and keep an eye on the road.On a good ride , it makes for a bad video.

  • Tuning out...I can relate, been doing just that a lot lately..lmao...I made the mistake of installing a bike to bike com system in the wifes bike...that screwed up my Ipod listening...and lets just not say anything else ;-)

    cheers all.

  • iPod: the deaf person defence

  • haha, exactly! Love that explanation!

  • Oh, a comment from Miss F00t. I feel special. ;)

  • pfft, I feel special when you comment on one of my vids! :) I watched you before I started vlogging...

  • The Beavis/Butthead moment.

hehehe. he said "speedo meter" hehehhee.

  • Hahaha, I thought the same thing. :)

  • Do you think that its really tuned out or that your brain just takes care of the riding duties like a sort of instinctual thing? So its kinda in the back of your mind is what im clumsily trying to say.

I might have to do a vid response as it touches on some things i was thinking about reguarding new riders who want to vlog right away without riding experience.

Love the vids you do like this that make people think. Good work, sir! (:

  • I think it's a little of both, honestly. There's some things I just don't care to worry about, and others that I let my subconscious deal with. Certain things just become second nature after a while, like shifting gears.

  • you were talking about listening to music while riding :) thought I would mention it lol

my thoughts are what's the difference between talking to yourself or a passenger or the camera? your still talking.....so as long as you put more concentration on the road ad surroundings....it just really doesn't matter....

  • Well, there is a slight difference. If you're conversing with a person then you've got to allow that much more attention for listening to the person when they talk to you.

  • 9:19 Wow! Glad you weren't using too many cycles talking and saw the truck coming into your lane.

  • Yeah, unfortunately I didn't see the turn signal until I was already beside the trailer.

  • hey T, I agree with you, my scatter brained friend! my issue is I forget what I was going to talk about just in anticipation of getting on the bike.....I enjoy the ride that much!

  • I do that too from time to time.

  • You hit the nail RIGHT on the head with this one bro. :D Great vid, I'm favin it. I do the same thing when a situation is happening all my attention goes elsewhere and my vlogs end or change, just the nature of the beast. :) YOu are a great vlogger, for realz

  • My ADD really shows in some of my videos, but most of the time it's ok. Kinda irritates me, but at the same time I think it adds a little spice.

  • good observations. Good calls.

Great irony in this video, good times. :D

  • Thanks ;)

  • Agreed....someone messaged me saying that vlogging was just as bad as talking on the phone in a car and I had to call BS...most everyone who mc vlogs loses their train of thought "because" they are really concentrating on the ride more than someone who is interacting with someone on a phone. Another side benenfit of vlogging especially when taking a long ride is the feeling of having friends along on the ride...I've heard more than 1 address that.

  • Agreed with what you are saying, you speak the truth!

  • Never felt like I had someone there because of it, but then that helmet is pretty damn noisy so I don't do real long rides with it either.

  • ahahaha...

What's with the speedo healer, are you getting a second one? I feel like I missed something.

  • Oh no, I just need to recalibrate it off the odometer so it's correct, rather than the speedometer.

  • My speedo is also fast by 10%. Pretty common, I think. I once assumed that the speedo and odometer were as one, and would therefore be high by the same amount. They aren't (on my bike, anyway). My odometer only clocks high by about 2%, and I can live with that. Plus, a 10% speedo error doesn't require much thought to figure out on the run, and like you, I'm generally not staring at the thing anyway.

I pretty much always shut up when something grabs my attention. Those bits can be edited!

  • I don't mind error in the speedometer, to a degree, but I really like the odometer to be right.

  • Hmm... that is some irony

  • Awesome isn't it

  • I totally agree 100%. I've noticed I do that do. To see a possible situation ahead and stop talking, concentrate on the threat until it passes. I'm pretty sure my speedo is off by 10% and adjust speed accordingly. BTW, just ordered a rear tire for ALF. Getting ready for the Gap. ( I hope.).

  • 10% seems to be the industry standard, with the sprocket change mine went up to 15.7% error, which is just too high. The speedohealer works great, just need to calibrate it off the odo instead.

  • The ending was great haha

  • Yeah, and totally unplanned. :)
