I dont even have words to describe how much i miss Choke. Ive just recently rekindled all of their albums, and still after the first time i saw them play in 97, i still get fuckin chills hard about how rediculiously tight they were. I love Choke from the bottom of my heart.
I cant even watch these videos anymore, they make me incredibly sad, and I'm not even kidding. End of an era, and look at the shit bands we are left with. lol. Miss the 90s.
They had been going at it for 13 years with no break in sight. They wanted to go to Europe but never could. Stephen dropped out of school to be in Choke. He decided he really wanted to go back to school so now he's in UBC Vancouver. Check out Shaun and Clay's new band Passenger Action. Jack has a new band too but i can't remember the name of it.

if this dosen't move you as a farwell song you have no soul...this is soooooo intense, i get goose bumps at the end of the vid...not because their my fav band, but because it was a scene that you cant re-create you had to be there, and feel you were part of something....
I got intense goose bumps too lol. I miss them, since 1998 they got me through the good and the bad, seen them every single time they came to ottawa, wish I could of been in Edmonton for the last show, was about to go but my gf (ex now) argued with me about it cause she couldnt go. RIP Choke,
You cant buy some of their albums anymore, Lotion, Giver, Foreward, you can still find Needless to Say and Moral + Slow Fade if you look.
If anyone needs foreward let me know, I asked the boys last time I saw them and they said just fucking download it as they had absolutely NONE left in the van.
Ive seen them live about .... 20 times... spent about....; 1000 on merch (have all their tees since needless to say).... i cried when they broke up... i comforted my girlfriend when she read the news on thier site... im so happy i had the chance to shake shawns hand at their 2nd last show in calgary.... i told him what an impact he had to me and my girlfriend in our lives, and how sad i was to see them go... i have that memory ingrained in my head forever.... no other band has topped them...none

man... thats a thing of beauty. the most important punk band the prairies will ever know, maybe even canada. the winnipeg show was dope, but not as charged as this was.
