I just re-watched 'Fool Us' and I don't feel like Penn and Teller were actually fooled by Ben Earl. I think Ben Earl was able to claim they didn't get it right based on a technicality. The problem was that Penn had to code his language so he didn't reveal the trick to the audience, and so the magician could perform it again and still amaze people. Because he had to choose his language carefully it was easier for Ben Earl to say that Penn didn't explain how the trick was done accurately enough.

Just watched video bits from the show "Fool Us" from youtube, very nice, reminds me of what TV felt like when I was a kid in the 60's, I might actually get my TV out of storage if that show were available on the US airwaves......but I guess there's copyright issues in USA with "Fool Us" since ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and FOX are all competiting for that show title already with their news broadcast... or so it seems....

Best TV ive seen in a long time.....beats that dancing crap....that idol crap. Its a very simple but snazzy show. Its well edited, fast and not an ounce of fat or cynical production. Magic....done well....is just a real treat. Went to Penn and Tellers show in Vegas and have to say it made the trip. pure entertainment.

I just watched the third part of Fool us and here is what bothered me in it: all the people from the audience (even Tellers) that came on stage to assist, were already wearing microphones. That logically tells me that they were chosen upfront to be in the show. I don't understand why would you do that. It destroys all the faith that audience has in the magician's "honesty". You simply don't do this cause people will automatically think that these helpers are in on the act.

I also believe there are crew members around the audience with roaming boom mics to provide audio for audience members when they are called to answer a question from their seats.
