  • I feel this song is in the raga "Rageshri" . If it is so, then the Raga RagEshri is 22nd mela [Kharaharapriya] Janya. The aroh & Avaroh notes are;

    S R2 G3 M1 D2 N3 S

    S R2 G3 M1 D2 N3 S.

    In HM this rag is from the Khamaj-thAT..

    The PA is varjya & note Ri is skipped, in the Arohona, at times. The MA is very strong. The Dha is a 'deerga swara' and the use of D-G is very prominant for this raga. Madurai Somu had sung "ninaikatha neramillai muruga" in Rageshri [or RakEshree]

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting. Seems a tough raaga to sing. Would be helpful if you can post the raaga name and its aaroganam/avaraoganam and if possible the key prayogams. Thanks
