Wow is piss easy. It's a shadow of it's former self and is not worth the effort that us long term players put into it anymore. 4.5 years on, it's like going to work playing that game.
If anyone clicks their enemy and uses the auto-follow system they're retarded. That auto-follow is how you get kited around like an idiot and get wiped all over the floor. Use the movement buffs to your advantage and be smart about the way you move. A lot of people seem to forget that by running forward you take more damage -.-

Great game. I played both the Closed Beta and Open Beta. This game is so much more fun than WoW in my opinion. But I dont think it will beat WoW at all. I think it will last for 2 years or so. And another reason why people play WoW is becouse of the low computer req.
If I get 2 years outta Aion, I'll be very happy. I just need something to keep me away from WoW. I gave it up a month early so that when I play Aion I will not be thinking too much about wow controls and so on. The Aion Beta was great and I can't wait to play for real next week.
ive played WoW when bc came out and ive been in the beta for this game here. All i have to say is that i like aion much better. idk what it is but wow had me bored after awhile where as this game's game play is so good that i want to come back and play. it feel like a chore to lvl up like it did in WoW
yeah blizzard failed at BC and after, the fact i like this game so far is you can custom your toon so much you wont look like others with high level gear, blizzard likes to re skin shit , and when they actually come out with new stuff it looks horrid. this game has real potential and im sure this game will be huge if not pass what WoW had imo
Have any of you people making WoW comparisons ever even played an NCsoft MMO? I doubt it. I've played three and they are all very different from WoW. If anything, WoW is just diablo with warcraft lore and characters, not original at all. Its just a rehashed version of an old blizzard game. Anyone who has played lineage or lineage 2 AND WoW knows how different blizzard and NCsoft are. I can't wait to play this game. and for the record, WoW was trash after BC hit.
i dont know why people either say aion is good and wow sucks or wow is good and aion sucks, there both good but aion is lacking in some areas, let me give you some examples, wow's character control is far more fluid and smooth then aion, and i really like the customizable specs that wow offers, in aion the character controlling is more stiff and not as smooth, and you have no talent point customization, i think if aion can fix these things i would love the game more.
I haven't tried aion, but I think the reason the Aion movement feels stiff is because of their neat skill-animations that cannot be interrupted like they can in WoW.
Since Aion is an Asian game, the movements and animations are quite important to get a real feel of the Kung fu/martial arts of the characters.
While in WoW there's just a few selected animations, maybe 3 per race for casting/melee.
It's up to you what you think is better, but I think thorough animations is important.
Fair enough, but WoW has a cartoon-graphics engine while Aion has a Realistic-graphics engine.. WoW didn't even try to make it look "realistic" so it's not a fair fight.

im gona play aion too, but i dont get why people says wow is going down hill. Yes, after wotlk it became a bit easy, but wouldnt it be boring to run around in lvl 60 with the same gear 3 years in a row? imo, cataclysm is the first good thing they are doing since wotlk came. And i guess its hard to make a good game, when some people says: Give us back the old raids, and then, when they make old raids lvl 80/85, people complains that blizzard have no originality. Happen for Aion in a few years.
Wow IS in facto coming to a end, what i define the ends is this : blizzard made the game into a buisness when they realised that making the game too easy that any unskilled player can go to the most difficult raid and get carried in a pug, yes ive pugged TOTC25. also the new expansion cataclysm is coming out soon and that marks the end of the story of raecraft unless they try to milk it with the emerald dream. Aion picked a great time to release because it is SIMILAR to wow in terms of the UI
and that alot of wow vets are looking to get into a new mmo. personally i am the best holy priest on my server in wow and it gets boring being on top because you never have a "Parterner" or anyone that will stack up to you so you always carry everyone. not to say that im not looking to be the best at Aion but i plan on it =D
Then again, just like WoW, if this game is really good, and little kids start to play, in 4 years... Aion will take a steep fall like WoW did. So if this game is to make it further than WoW has gone, NCsoft better get NChard or else they'll end up like WoW... at the bottom of every1's dumpster.
I'm a vet WoW player. 4.5 years playing the game, and I must agree that WoW has gone downhill since WOTLK came out. IMO, remember this is MY opinion, Blizz made it too easy for people to level, get gear, and even get into end-game with greens. Think about Vanilla WoW, and compare it to what most expect Aion to be: A Fresh Start. Cataslysm is desperet call in help of Blizzard, cause they see MMO games, not just Aion are killing them. Third expansion of wow is piece of shit... Tauren rogue? Dworf shaman? piece of shit, and not to mention tanks will have like 70k of hp and all the classes will loose their meaning just like in wotlk, cause there is to big gap between classes and they can't keep it good like in TBC. I have been playing WoW for 4 full years but have only been in the end game since BC. I think the graphics in Aion look astounding considering this isn't a cinematic but actual game play. I've seen the footage of PvP and it looks kind limp. Lacking intensity. Although WoW doesn't have much intensity either. This game is winning me over right now just off the animation and graphics even with the fact the animation will get repetitive fast. Just gonna have to wait and see though :D

Ok first of all. WoW was not even original with their classes except maybe with the latest addition of the death knight. The main classes such as warrior, mage, priest, rogue, hunter (ranger), druid, ect. have been around in games FOREVER. Go play FF2 and tell me what classes are available, or if you want to stick with MMORPGs then go play Everquest or Dark Age of Camelot...hmmm same classes...wierd

Flying combat in this game isnt overated, it was put in (imo) to add another level of gameplay, if you could fly all the time as much as you wanted to it would be annoying because no one would be on the ground! so i think the timer is necessery, they also said that u could increase flight times through items
genghishadow08, you're wrong for the Clerc templar and chanter. to WoW, the Clerc are only priest, the templar are warrior tank and chanter are paladin.
This game doesn't seem like it would get boring fast due to the time it takes to level and all the things to do in between and after max level. There are raids, quests, aerial combat, amazing professions, amazing graphics, great game play, great fighting system... whats not to love? Not to mention the fact that the game hasn't even come out yet.
I think this game is going to be the game to knock out WoW. It has amazing story / lore behind it. The game play is amazing.. its not like WoW, when you PvP you get killed in 2 seconds due to an overpowered class, this game seams very very balanced. The graphics are amazing along with the character customization... its almost as if you can not have the same char looks as someone else unless you use a default. The proffessions in this game look amazing and have a great value to your character. :D
ok i played perfect world and it gets so boring around lvl 20...takes 4-ever to lvl and all you to is grind...the quests are the same thing so really this looks as if it would kill PW by a long shot

PW has a pvp server where your safe in towns same as this thing, Only 1 zome is pvp and will be only 1 zone. Graphics is the only thing people can defend about this game. The lore and questing is the same for each race. Armor is supposdly diffrent looking but its not that drastic of a diffrence in looks. PvP is way way lame in this game only dueling is fun. Only way to win in pvp in this game is ganking solo pvping is lame and takes forever no class has a good advantage over others.
Sorc and Sin are the best overall damage dealers in Aion atm, Then Gladiator and then Ranger. But Ranger will probably get buffed sooner or later. Also Spiritmasters deal deadly damage if played right with the elemental Summons.

The game graphics are a lot more polished than this video. If you want to see them look at an HD video of gameplay. It really does crap all over WoWs graphics. The lack of races is made up for because you can customize your character in so many ways. Your can make the character look exactly like yourself or someone famous, or a dwarf; anything. It doesn't lag when you put your settings to max either and I only have $1000 computer.
I have a lvl 80 warlock.. i managed to get 3 Conqueror, Two T8(new valorous) then my game card ran out, and when i stood there in the store, about to buy a new game card.. i acutally thought over what wow had become.. going from the sweet, simple, but still quite hard Pre-tbc, to this NOOB game, where you can be newly dinged and get Conqueror from running a 15 min raid.. It ended with me, leaving the store without game card and a brand new life.. cant wait to spend it in Aion! moahahha :D (J/K)
this game obviously shits all over WoW i mean come on looks at those amazing in game graphics and player animation, the spells and moves look awesome and the game-play is also bound to shit on wow its not a copy either as its a totally different game, the story is totally different, classes and races are different, features are different and the graphics and game engine used are totally different....
And the game sucks you can fly for only 20 minutes or so, and only certain areas befor you hit a wall and lose your timer causing you to wait 20 more minutes. Only 2 races in the game and 1 set of talents for each class. Quests for both sides are the exact same just diffrent names. You are forced to pvp at leve 35-45 cause you stuck in a area called the void. Only way to not go there is dont do quests so yea really good game its going to shit all over ever mmo.
well i dno 20 minutes sounds long enough to get bored flying anyway and there are actually 3 races and probably more to be released later in the future also there are a fair few classes which is good enough and too many races would the ruin the game anyway because the whole game is based on 3 main factions....pvp is better than pve anyway its more fun and challenging and who gives a crap about quests being the same its just gonna make life easier for leveling
1) if you could fly all the time pvp would be equal to zero (see wow)
2) don't hit the wall
3) being stuck in the same area with the enemy is why i used to love wow ( tarren mill <3).
4) mmo's are about leveling up / doing quests / crafting and pvp deal with it
5) if it is something new and the gameplay feels right it will take a big chunk of wow's player base, check game mechanics - realy realy smart-, graphics - a bit exagerated but still quite nice, and finaly it has beautiful lore

2)Dont go near anything or you get grounded, certain zones ground you and have to wait 20 minutes to fly again.
3)The new patch gives you abyss crystals now so theres no need to pvp. lame
4)MMOs are about making money if your not paying your not playing.
5)Theres nothing new in the whole game, 1 talent set for ever class and they said already there NOT going to make any diffrent ones either. Graphics are only good thing. Lore is gay.
6)Play Perfect world online and its got better flight combat then this game and its free to play.
7)At least in wow honor is gained from killing other players or things that involve it. With being able to get the so called pvp only stuff people wont have to pvp=lame.

Yes servers cost money to keep up any game, this game will fail and prolly have servers merged and so on just like ever ncsoft game has done. You played the beta I have played the asian version which has been out longer, and in patch 1.5 there adding abyss crystals, and limiting flying more.
Flying is uncool for pvp in the current mechanics that have been used in mmos so far, flying mounts killed world pvp in wow, you probably have no idea what pvp is all about so keep your 2 cent opinions to yourself and stop talking about things you do not understand or have no experience about

lmao, im not sure you know what your talking about, aion doesn't change that much witht he 1.5 update other then getting better. Not to mention none of the people at aionsource who play the chinese servers mentioned or complained about what your talking about, so it must not be that bad or a problem at all.
Aion in patch 1.5 will give you items you where supposed t only get from pvp, now youll get them from monsters so there no point in pvp at all. Aionsource is a pro aion site thats why there not going to mention flaws.
First off, you get pvp items via abyss points similer to wows honor system. Yes their is a npc faction, but you will be faced with both enemy factions most of the time. And pve is also an element in this game. If your that hardcore aion is not for you. But id like the concept of having npc's that grant you abyss points, as most players will run/zerg you. wows a good example. As for PVE items you get drops that are very different. i have the link they are really cool looking too.
Yea you get abyss crystals in the next patch from random npcs, in a no pvp zone I think thats very lame. PVE is good at frist but after awhile it gets boring. The only thing I did like about this game was that you can use diffrent level of the skills not just the max level of it. Other then that its to much go kill this and that, and the storyline quest is the same for each race just diffrent monsters. So switching factions doesnt yield anything diffrent.
i always found PVE in wow to be boring but that's because its long and limited. heroics for example, 1 time each a day, lame. i heard Aion's, PVE is different, shorter instances, faster through them. I still can't hate the npc getting crystals off them. unless they put them in under level 25 or in the crappy zones noone pvp's in (very few) you should be able to get 2x the points. just kill player and npc. I agree with the faction quests, but I'm gunna play one side anyhow, not a game killer.
pvp win is gankage only in this game they balanced the classes alot where theres no fair advantage over another, so if your pvping someone and then some noob comes around the corner when your regen health or whatever your dead pretty fast. And levels dont seem to make much of a diffrence a levle 35 can easly fair well against a 40.
i am assuming you played the game, i had a question if you would answer. i see there is allot of concentration being put into appearnce and armor, so does the level of armour have a huge advantge on pvp?
There is armor set for pvp but any armor as well is fine. Level of armor is supposed to have a huge advantage in pvp but it seems to me it has more of an advantage in pve.
Because everthing you get from pvp can now be got without pvp, there was supposed to be this leet dungeon and so on, but in the patch 1.5 you dont have to pvp to get it, so only reason to pvp now is just to pvp theres no reward or anything at all to those who pvp is my point.

2 options in this game for mage.
Spirit master or sorcerer.
Sorcerer is damaged base and spirit master is more debuff based. He can remove buffs from others and debuff them.
He has a pet to to slow the mdown or tank damage or do massive damage.
He also has great damage spells.
Sorcerer has alot of good dps spells.

If I get 2 years outta Aion, I'll be very happy. I just need something to keep me away from WoW. I gave it up a month early so that when I play Aion I will not be thinking too much about wow controls and so on. The Aion Beta was great and I can't wait to play for real next week.

ive played WoW when bc came out and ive been in the beta for this game here. All i have to say is that i like aion much better. idk what it is but wow had me bored after awhile where as this game's game play is so good that i want to come back and play. it feel like a chore to lvl up like it did in WoW

Have any of you people making WoW comparisons ever even played an NCsoft MMO? I doubt it. I've played three and they are all very different from WoW. If anything, WoW is just diablo with warcraft lore and characters, not original at all. Its just a rehashed version of an old blizzard game. Anyone who has played lineage or lineage 2 AND WoW knows how different blizzard and NCsoft are. I can't wait to play this game. and for the record, WoW was trash after BC hit.

i dont know why people either say aion is good and wow sucks or wow is good and aion sucks, there both good but aion is lacking in some areas, let me give you some examples, wow's character control is far more fluid and smooth then aion, and i really like the customizable specs that wow offers, in aion the character controlling is more stiff and not as smooth, and you have no talent point customization, i think if aion can fix these things i would love the game more.

I haven't tried aion, but I think the reason the Aion movement feels stiff is because of their neat skill-animations that cannot be interrupted like they can in WoW.
Since Aion is an Asian game, the movements and animations are quite important to get a real feel of the Kung fu/martial arts of the characters.
While in WoW there's just a few selected animations, maybe 3 per race for casting/melee.
It's up to you what you think is better, but I think thorough animations is important.

Fair enough, but WoW has a cartoon-graphics engine while Aion has a Realistic-graphics engine.. WoW didn't even try to make it look "realistic" so it's not a fair fight.

im gona play aion too, but i dont get why people says wow is going down hill. Yes, after wotlk it became a bit easy, but wouldnt it be boring to run around in lvl 60 with the same gear 3 years in a row? imo, cataclysm is the first good thing they are doing since wotlk came. And i guess its hard to make a good game, when some people says: Give us back the old raids, and then, when they make old raids lvl 80/85, people complains that blizzard have no originality. Happen for Aion in a few years.

Wow IS in facto coming to a end, what i define the ends is this : blizzard made the game into a buisness when they realised that making the game too easy that any unskilled player can go to the most difficult raid and get carried in a pug, yes ive pugged TOTC25. also the new expansion cataclysm is coming out soon and that marks the end of the story of raecraft unless they try to milk it with the emerald dream. Aion picked a great time to release because it is SIMILAR to wow in terms of the UI

I'm a vet WoW player. 4.5 years playing the game, and I must agree that WoW has gone downhill since WOTLK came out. IMO, remember this is MY opinion, Blizz made it too easy for people to level, get gear, and even get into end-game with greens. Think about Vanilla WoW, and compare it to what most expect Aion to be: A Fresh Start. Everything will be new and harder, so it wont be noobs in the end-game, it'll be people who actually know how to play and took the time to learn. -- Dunemaul Server.

Cataslysm is desperet call in help of Blizzard, cause they see MMO games, not just Aion are killing them. Third expansion of wow is piece of shit... Tauren rogue? I have been playing WoW for 4 full years but have only been in the end game since BC. I think the graphics in Aion look astounding considering this isn't a cinematic but actual game play. I've seen the footage of PvP and it looks kind limp. Lacking intensity. Although WoW doesn't have much intensity either. This game is winning me over right now just off the animation and graphics even with the fact the animation will get repetitive fast. Just gonna have to wait and see though :D

I played ''Ragnarok Online'' before WoW 2 years and guess what was the class available? ..The same as every others MMO's out there.

Ok first of all. WoW was not even original with their classes except maybe with the latest addition of the death knight. The main classes such as warrior, mage, priest, rogue, hunter (ranger), druid, ect. have been around in games FOREVER. Go play FF2 and tell me what classes are available, or if you want to stick with MMORPGs then go play Everquest or Dark Age of Camelot...hmmm same classes...wierd

you guys really cant expect everyone to make their own super original classes, there will always be warriors and mages for example, just because wow was "first" it doesnt mean that its classes are bound to wow and no one is allowed to use the same idea, loads of rpg's have been taking stuff from wow, and wow have been taking stuff from other. i play wow now, still think aion looks real cool though.

Flying combat in this game isnt overated, it was put in (imo) to add another level of gameplay, if you could fly all the time as much as you wanted to it would be annoying because no one would be on the ground! so i think the timer is necessery, they also said that u could increase flight times through items

This game doesn't seem like it would get boring fast due to the time it takes to level and all the things to do in between and after max level. There are raids, quests, aerial combat, amazing professions, amazing graphics, great game play, great fighting system... whats not to love? Not to mention the fact that the game hasn't even come out yet.

I think this game is going to be the game to knock out WoW. It has amazing story / lore behind it. The game play is amazing.. its not like WoW, when you PvP you get killed in 2 seconds due to an overpowered class, this game seams very very balanced. The graphics are amazing along with the character customization... its almost as if you can not have the same char looks as someone else unless you use a default. The proffessions in this game look amazing and have a great value to your character. :D

ok i played perfect world and it gets so boring around lvl 20...takes 4-ever to lvl and all you to is grind...the quests are the same thing so really this looks as if it would kill PW by a long shot

PW has a pvp server where your safe in towns same as this thing, Only 1 zome is pvp and will be only 1 zone. Graphics is the only thing people can defend about this game. The lore and questing is the same for each race. Armor is supposdly diffrent looking but its not that drastic of a diffrence in looks. PvP is way way lame in this game only dueling is fun. Only way to win in pvp in this game is ganking solo pvping is lame and takes forever no class has a good advantage over others.

Sorc and Sin are the best overall damage dealers in Aion atm, Then Gladiator and then Ranger. But Ranger will probably get buffed sooner or later. Also Spiritmasters deal deadly damage if played right with the elemental Summons.

The game graphics are a lot more polished than this video. If you want to see them look at an HD video of gameplay. It really does crap all over WoWs graphics. The lack of races is made up for because you can customize your character in so many ways. Your can make the character look exactly like yourself or someone famous, or a dwarf; anything. It doesn't lag when you put your settings to max either and I only have $1000 computer.

I have a lvl 80 warlock.. i managed to get 3 Conqueror, Two T8(new valorous) then my game card ran out, and when i stood there in the store, about to buy a new game card.. i acutally thought over what wow had become.. going from the sweet, simple, but still quite hard Pre-tbc, to this NOOB game, where you can be newly dinged and get Conqueror from running a 15 min raid.. It ended with me, leaving the store without game card and a brand new life.. cant wait to spend it in Aion! moahahha :D (J/K)

And the game sucks you can fly for only 20 minutes or so, and only certain areas befor you hit a wall and lose your timer causing you to wait 20 more minutes. Only 2 races in the game and 1 set of talents for each class. Quests for both sides are the exact same just diffrent names. You are forced to pvp at leve 35-45 cause you stuck in a area called the void. Only way to not go there is dont do quests so yea really good game its going to shit all over ever mmo.

1) if you could fly all the time pvp would be equal to zero (see wow)
2) don't hit the wall
3) being stuck in the same area with the enemy is why i used to love wow ( tarren mill <3).
4) mmo's are about leveling up / doing quests / crafting and pvp deal with it
5) if it is something new and the gameplay feels right it will take a big chunk of wow's player base, check game mechanics - realy realy smart-, graphics - a bit exagerated but still quite nice, and finaly it has beautiful lore

1)The overdramatize the flying and its quite lame.
2)Dont go near anything or you get grounded, certain zones ground you and have to wait 20 minutes to fly again.
3)The new patch gives you abyss crystals now so theres no need to pvp. lame
4)MMOs are about making money if your not paying your not playing.
5)Theres nothing new in the whole game, 1 talent set for ever class and they said already there NOT going to make any diffrent ones either. Graphics are only good thing. Lore is gay.

Looks and gameplay are 2 diffrent things, there is no fun factor at ll in this game. When you max level this game blows. You played the beta I have played the asian version which has been out longer, and in patch 1.5 there adding abyss crystals, and limiting flying more.

Aion in patch 1.5 will give you items you where supposed t only get from pvp, now youll get them from monsters so there no point in pvp at all. Aionsource is a pro aion site thats why there not going to mention flaws.

First off, you get pvp items via abyss points similer to wows honor system. Yes their is a npc faction, but you will be faced with both enemy factions most of the time. And pve is also an element in this game. If your that hardcore aion is not for you. But id like the concept of having npc's that grant you abyss points, as most players will run/zerg you. wows a good example. As for PVE items you get drops that are very different. i have the link they are really cool looking too.

Yea you get abyss crystals in the next patch from random npcs, in a no pvp zone I think thats very lame. PVE is good at frist but after awhile it gets boring. The only thing I did like about this game was that you can use diffrent level of the skills not just the max level of it. Other then that its to much go kill this and that, and the storyline quest is the same for each race just diffrent monsters. So switching factions doesnt yield anything diffrent.

i always found PVE in wow to be boring but that's because its long and limited. heroics for example, 1 time each a day, lame. i heard Aion's, PVE is different, shorter instances, faster through them. I still can't hate the npc getting crystals off them. unless they put them in under level 25 or in the crappy zones noone pvp's in (very few) you should be able to get 2x the points. just kill player and npc. I agree with the faction quests, but I'm gunna play one side anyhow, not a game killer.

pvp win is gankage only in this game they balanced the classes alot where theres no fair advantage over another, so if your pvping someone and then some noob comes around the corner when your regen health or whatever your dead pretty fast. And levels dont seem to make much of a diffrence a levle 35 can easly fair well against a 40.

There is armor set for pvp but any armor as well is fine. Level of armor is supposed to have a huge advantage in pvp but it seems to me it has more of an advantage in pve.
