As an american who does not support unilaterially Isreal (at all actually), I thank you for this vid. I'm not saying treat them differently, instead treat them as we treat ALL other countries. It really is a lot more simple than all of that. Hamas attacked Israel non-stop for over a year. Israel retailiated and innocent people were killed, but most were Hamas fighters. Nothing to do with extermination, no illegal weapons (WP was not used as a weapon, thus no laws were broken) etc. The LOIC even states that if a combatant uses civilian structures/persons as a shield, that civilian target loses its immunity in war.

Hamas was elected over the Palestinian Peace Group, which promised to make peace with Israel and create their own state. They got less than 1% of the vote.
Even if Hamas fired ONE rocket into Israel, it is still an act of war on behalf of their government. If a Canadian military unit began firing rockets into America, with no disciplinary action taken by their government, THAT would be an act of war, even if no one was killed.

The Europeans don't know Israel anymore. The tourists coming to Israel from Europe are mainly Jewish. The depth of ignorance in Europe is such that it creates misconceived ideas about Israel's aims and policy. Israelis know Europe better as many vacation there. We are close to Europe with respect to culture, history, religion, trade, commerce, and tourism. I think Israel has to invest every effort to try and change the European perception.

Civil war is a normal occurrence throughout history when the occupying power leaves. Examples include the Irish civil war and India-Pakistan.
The big difference here is that Palestine was never able to declare independence but that has as much to do with Jordan and Egypt as it those with Israel.

Just before Britain's mandate of control expired, Israel declared independence and civil war ensued in which the Palestinians were supported by external Arab forces.
Israel won it's independence, the West bank was annexed by Jordan and the Gaza strip was occupied by Egypt.

I also think that Israel's actions have been disproportionate but I'm no military expert.

I saw the add for the Talon Laser, it's referred to as a 'concept'.
This 'concept' seems to have been shelved by the US and Israel in 2005 because of prohibit costs and unimpressive performance.
An Israeli company, Rafael, is developing an alternative but it will not be available for another 8 years.
I cant find anything to say it's ready for deployment (other than NorthropGrumman ads).

Since I have to spoon feed you.
It didn't work well against large salvos or in cloudy conditions and it also requires massive amounts of toxic chemicals as fuel for the laser.
So basically, on any cloudy day, you would have an unprotected storage container full of toxic chemicals sitting in the middle of a battle field. Not a good idea.
Laser weaponry is still a few years away.

Even if hamas were allowed to control the Palestinians unhindered in any way, what would be the result?
The introduction of sharia law in it's strictest interpretation and second, it's very unlikely hamas would refrain from antagonising Israel.
So yes, I think the Palestinians would be better off without them. I want hamas dead (unless they change) because they will only bring more misery to the Palestinian people.

I searched for your vid but got zero results. I did find reports saying that they have long range missile interceptors(arrow) and that medium range missile interceptors(Stunner) would be "operational in for years", those reports are from January 2008.
It makes sense that more advanced tech is needed to intercept shorter range rockets.

Turn violence towards peace? The IRA reluctantly started decommissioning 3 years later than scheduled.
The first act of decommissioning took place in October 2001, a month after the suicide attacks in the US.
And why? Because sinn fein knew that terrorism would not be tolerated any longer and funding from the US would dry up if they didn't commit to exclusively peaceful means.
