Hi Steve - I realize this video is a couple of years old and you have probably already been told about this but... There is a free open source software which is just like this called 'Best Practice'. Doug Seven turned me on to this when I purchased some of his instructional videos. If you don't know who Doug Seven is then do a search here on YouTube for him, amazing instructor. I really enjoy your instructional videos too! Keep up the great work! Thx.
@ZepPaRpLiN LOL! Actually mine is MUCH older than that. 2 point something! There is definitely NEWER and BETTER, but mine works great, does everything I need it to do, and so "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" LOL! :) I TOTALLY recommend you get it though if you are a musician! I can't live without it! :)
The demo versions will of course only run pieces of songs. You have to BUY the software to unlock its 100% functionality, but it is WELL WORTH IT! Best $50 I ever spent! :)
ive learned sweet home alabama solo1 but i cant play it in normal speed and when i downloaded amazing slowdowner it sad u most register and pay or it will just play 1 quarter of the song??? i cant comme to the solo it plays 31 sec of sweet home alabama...:(
Thanks man...yeah...SUPER easy to use, and from install to playing, your're up and going in less than 60 seconds in most cases, with a fast machine...
Hey Rick! Thanks! I should have said something about this in the vid. One of the really COOL things is that it uses VERY LITTLE RESOURCES as compared to many of the other software titles. It's squeaky clean. I run it on all my systems, XP and Vista and heard that it works even on Win98. I even run it on my little Acer Aspire subnotebook, which is VERY LOW POWER! I think it also works on Mac. Sometimes settings will need changing based on your system/resources, but it's worth it.
...oh...and I've always just used the stock internal sound cards in my laptops and desktops. It really is resource friendly. There is a free demo of it that you can try, but the demo doesn't let you play whole songs, BUT, it was the DEMO that sold me on it initially...
Wow! That is so cool! I guess my systems would have no problem running this. I can run Cubase with no trouble at all...except for thr inherant latency associated with almost all computer based multitrack programs.
Looks like I better get over and check out this program. Could be a lot of fun learn.:)
Yeah Rick! I LOVE it! If you can run Cubase, this app is nothing on resources comparatively.Again, you may have to adjust some settings like buffer size and such, but super easy to do,and once you tweak it,it's fantastic. Most of the time,it works perfectly w/just the default settings, and there is zero learning curve.Everything is intuitive and obvious with the onscreen controls. If you can load a song file from the File menu,or play a CD, then you've already mastered the software :-) lol ...Steve

Awesome stuff man!
I actually use Audacity 1.3.
It's pretty much like this but yours is so much easier!
I had to sit down and study mine for a while to figure it out. Haha.
But again, this is sweet! =)

Looks really cool! One question I have is concerning the OS. What are minimum and "recommended" system requirements?
I can imagine you need a fairly potent sound card for this too.
