  • Sifu Lo Man, thank you for visiting us this week. it was more than an an honor to be in your presence. but even more to get the opportunity to be able to Chi Sao with you. you are a phenomenal Wing Chun icon.

  • What dialect was he speaking in? It didn't quite seem like Cantonese to me. But my Chinese is really rusty.

  • @a3spirit Sifu has a Cantonese accent when he speaks Mandarin. It is amazing to train in his school, it is like a dream come true.

  • Thank you Master. Respect you.

  • come on kiddies fighting is in th eman not the style grow up train and be the best you can be

  • @ 2:50..... Goddess

  • I visited Lo's school in Taipei back in the 80s.

He thought I was another whitey who'd be impressed with his constant references to Bruce Lee. I wasn't.

Bruce doesn't represent WC. He was an apostate from the system and at best, a celebrity.

Lo's name-dropping discredited him and I never pursued contact with him.

  • @DizzyDerwish You should train with Gary Lam if you live in California. His Wing Chun is pure badass, Wong Shun Leung lineage. Look him up on Youtube, awesome WC skills. Did you know that before Wong Shun Leung became a student of Yip Man's, he wanted to test his school out before enrolling, so he had several challenge matches with Yipman's students at the time. One of them was Lo Man Kam and guess what he whooped his ass pretty easily without knowing any WC, just a little boxing.

  • @papertiger7

Thanks for the lead on Gary Lam.

Speaking of WSL, I met him in his Kowloon studio around the same time- early 80s. He was very welcoming, congenial; didn't name-drop.

I'd known one of his students- a fierce little bastard named Anthony Ng who had an unbelievable intensity he knew how to back up, which I now figure is a trait of that lineage.

  • @DizzyDerwish From what I see, WSL lineage is probably the best of all WC lineages. All his students were top notch: David Peterson, Phillip Bayer, Barry Lee, Ng Chun Hong, Wan Kam Leung the list goes on. There all great people, doesn't BS just top notch WC skills. I don't like getting into these stupid politics, but if you want to learn proper Wing Chun try to seek WSL students, they know there stuff.

  • @DizzyDerwish Another Whitey? You do know he is Asian don't you?

  • @MrHoffmannTaiwan

    What are you talking about?

    Who are you talking to?

  • I had trained for a couple of years under sifu Bruce Chengs Lo Man Kam branch here in New Zealand, Great lineage and the way they teach on this video is much the same as i was shown here. thanks for the post.

  • I´d wish there would be less talking and more doing! WinChun was supposed to be a secret fighting-system. Nowadays it is a mixed-up universe of thousand schools - and every sifu appears to be the last surviving wart on yip mans ass. Besides I would prefer aiming to the chest instead of the face whilst training chi-sao...

  • One of the Wing Chun rule 拳訣. Shoulders and Elbows should be down.

If your shoulders pops up then it's wrong. You can test it out by having someone pushing you forward with your Bong Sau, one shoulder up and one shoulder down. You should feel the differences. Then you know I'm not bullshiting you.

One more thing you should remember is your wrist is facing your sternum

  • Every Ip Man student respects Lo Man Kam because he was blessed by Ip Man to open the first foreign school outside of Hong Kong.

  • @kober777 ,judge not ,have you given your life dedicated to others. judge not with your eyes ,but see with your heart. base of all martial arts is compassion not fighting ,but non-fighting

  • @kober777 why dont you come over to the practice area and show us your wing chun... The address is posted above. I am sure there will be a lot of students intested in putting in a little practice with you... and hkbaby1985, youre more than welcome to come and visit as well...

  • funny thing is , after 30 years, his mandarin and wing chun still sucks !

  • no he did not he taught himself mostly after four years of training I learned from one of his students

  • Da truth is that Ip Man encouraged Low Man Come to joint da Taiwanese military to survive because he lacked the social skill to make a living. All of a sudden, Low Man claimed that he was the only one Ip Man appointed to spread Wing Chun to Taiwan! My ass! Look at the way he teaches da students punching in an arc, not a straight line. He spreads not Wing Chun but Crap Chun to Taiwan! Retarded! =(

  • Hi, its me again, again your posts do not show respect to your seniors even to a elderly sifu. Understand this that Grand master Lo is the sifu of many special forces (some of whom even only wear masks to attend his training) and also many police task forces in the world.

What you are saying is totally .... crap!

  • hey foreigners like to eat shitty chinese food in their own countries! you see?

  • u must b 1 of the bumbest a.. so called wing chun people iv seen on here how do u know more about ip man than his own nephew iv nvr seen sum1 disresct an W.C elder like you have master yip would like you tlkn shit bout his family and master lo nvr said he was the only 1 who knew true wing chun so stop lyng on a true legend in the wing chun world

  • @mofotox

man you talkin some big shit there.....

seems like you are a little kid who lives through insulting great masters as him through youtube....

    what an eyesore you are

  • @mofotox ,disrespect shows you are lacking compassion ,interllect, wisdom, & foresight. to judge others shows insecurity in oneself. like a little child having a tantrum, because he cannot have what he wants. to pass on knowledge to free others is a blessing. i hope that you give up judging others before you are judged.

  • @mofotox do you realise that there was two sides to wing chun one from leung bik the other from chan wah shun, one was outside the other is the inside, they both came to ip man, to be passed on, what you saw was the outside, not the inside.

  • @mofotox Why don't you come to our school and see how we punch.

  • @MrHoffmannTaiwan I already know how you guys punch....just like Gumby!!!! Brah ha ha ha. Lo Mein Come sucks ass big time!!!! Ip Man told him to spread WC in Taiwan....MY ASS!!!!

  • @mofotox Your ASS is the only thing spreading...

  • tell us about the TRUTH....

  • If only people can see the TRUTH.........

  • @mofotox truth is in the eye of the beholder, pity you are blinded by your own ignorance, calm your mind & your heart will follow
