actually if any of you actually do know anything about chemistry you'd know that gasoline(which is a fuel[saturated hydrocarbon{Aklane}]) needs Oxygen(which is a oxidizer) to ignite. Something doesnt have to be on fire, go through combustion, or even be creating any energy at all to be a fuel.

O and to continue to prove you all wrong outside of any mechanical means, food or even light is considered a fuel because any live organism can metabolize them and convert it into energy for living.

actually on the bang stroke its not actually an explosion....the fuel and air mixture burns at a fast but controlled rate expanding which pushes the piston down and inturn produces enough ummph to push it through the next three strokes with hopefully enough power to push anything trying to slow it down...ie. your car.
