I have followed the project mac4lin, look on google.
For the single horizontal bar search: cairo-dock documentation
could you share which plugin are you using for that mac lookalike startup bar below

I found wi-fi and webcam doesn't work under Ubuntu. did you found any way to use them correctly?

use the m-a command and build and install the gspca driver
unless you have a quickcam which iirc is the qc-usb driver or something like that
that works on debian anyway
