Quick question.

You ended up with 45 clones, but i'm wondering how many plants did you take the 45 clones from. Maybe a silly question but if i don't ask then i won't know.

4) At the base of the cutting, use your scalpel, and make 1-3 1/4" incisions from the exposed end, and moving toward the vegetative end. (eg. From the base, to the leaves, make 1/4 in incisions)

3) Gently "skin" the bottom of the plant (1/4"ish from the base of the stem of the clone).

Skinning = remove the outer-most layer of the clone. (The cambium layer, ie, The "bark" if you will, about 1/4 inch, starting from the base working your way up)

This also promotes root growth by reducing the amount of protective layers that prevent positive root generation.

1) After you have selected your prospective clone cutting, Cut off all of the leaves with the exception of the First tier, eg, the "newest growth".

(At this point, the leaves only serve to slow the root growth process.)

2) Cut the remaining leaf growth so that each of the leaves in half (perpendicular to the veins on each leaf. Again, exclude the tops/ new growth)

@TheJuanitoelchulo wet some papertowels and put them in a ziplock bagie and put the seeds between the papertowel... put them somewhere thats about 75-80 degrees. check them every day and see if they have broken open yet once you see the tap root come out put them in some dirt with the taproot facing down. make sure the soil is already watered and moist before you put it in there...once the top layer of soil is dry to the touch water it again, and it will grow.. google all else

@asamayub That's the natural color of new leaves. They eventually get darker when they grow out.

have you ever tries the more advanced cloning methods before? like tissue culture method? i would like to try it but im not sure what the best agar media to use for cannabis is,or how to treat the cutting to steralize it,i saw a video that said it was for tissuse culture of cannabis,but then they showed a bean and used the embryo and not a leaf cutting,im guessing the process for a leaf cutting is different,

Do clones have to be so big?

My mother is an ultra bushy indica (northern lights), its 8 weeks old but I dunno 7" tall lol (but its huge ... horizontally).

Point is each growth shoot is like 1-2", can I still clone from it?

@mdma4life if the plant is female i believe so. see it doesn't matter how tall your mother plant is but how many growth nodes it has on its branching stems 3 to 4 nodes is best for cloning but i personally have pulled off cloning from below a second node just know two things when cloning 1. don't bald your plant leave at least 4 branches of tops 2. if your taking clones any less then 3 nodes keep a good eye on them as you will have to mist them more often if not using a cloning machine

I got some Clonex the other day off e-bay and my clones are droopy, one actually just went and flopped all the way over.. Any idea's why this happend? i know it may of got an embolizme, but also the shipper shipped it and conditions of heat on its route could of broke down the hormones?? hope someone helps me out. I ordered advanced nutrients the 3xStg Grow/Micro/Flowering do you think if I adjust the levels/amount of nutrients used based not on A.N. Nutrient directions( heard plants burn if you go by there nutrient scale/feeding directions, but great product once adjusted and balanced)

How many clippings can you safely take in the same day from the same female? I definitely noticed how big they should be to be very supportive but... And how long should you wait before you clip her again? You ended up with forty clones but it seemed as if you only had several plants. @bearsmack6969 Thanks for the great tip! I totally forgot to mention scarring and it def helps! Like you said, cutting, scratching or scarring the stem area you want to root then putting it into your hormone helps quite a bit! It slipped my mind while making this video but i do normally scratch up the stem with a razor blaze or the scissors i cut the clones with. Thanks for the great input! Stop by the forums at cannavation and help get things up and running with your excellent knowledge!

Someone who isn't me uses the exact same combination of additives...though someone who isn't me uses less hygrozyme and clone-x instead of plantroids. Honestly, plantroids and clone-x work just the same....someone who isn't me bought clone-x because it was on sale!!! wheeeee

@TheGrowdaddy Yeah clonex is a great solution. I usually water with a clonex solution about 5-6 days after i take the clones and then every few days as they start to root.. they get clonex, kelp extract, and hygrozyme once rooted until transplant.. i used to use roots accelerator from van de schwaan which is awesome but really pricey!! gotta work on a budget these days! haha.. good luck with the grow!

@marvin666777 hey man you want to leave your heating pad on 24 7 at 65degrees and the cuttings should have enough water in the cutting cubes to last until the pre emergance roots show and then give them a half strenth rhizotonic or seaweed extract and then open the vents on your propergater and they should grow nicely hope this helps

@dean5371 Thanks for the tip! I learned a lot form, hydroponicsGrodan- type this into your youtube search and pick the top video. They have 10 videos right from the manufacture and it clears up a lot of the crap people tell you in the hydo shops. They posted these videos in October and not to many people have viewed them. There is also a few money saving tips. I strongly recommend these videos for ANYONE STARTING OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME. Good luck and i hope we all get some dank treats

@growingclosets - Awesome! thanks man i'll check it out. Yeah if you go to most of the commercial facilities in california you'll see the leaves clipped. If you're not doing bulk you may just want to leave your leaves on but if you've got a lot of lil cuttings it's better to clip everything.
