Except for the fact that Lenin's USSR wasn't the militaristic one that we all know and love from WW2 and the Cold War. Lenin was the most benign leader of the Soviet Union, and he created a country with similar living conditions to that of the USA at that time. Lenin's economic plans insured that the country would attain some growth. the NEP it was called, New Economic Plan. It was highly criticized, even by Trotsky, so it was going to revised, but instead it was enlarged by Stalin. The NEP allowed for minor land to be owned by peasants and farmers, who would sell the food to the central committee who would give it out to the people.
Trotsky criticized it because during the civil war, the central committee owned all means of production and was able to divert resources to the soldiers efficiently. He basically said, since the war is over, we can disband the military into a minor peacekeeping force, and have the Central Committee send food/resources/etc. to all the people of Russia instead of having people buy it and encouraging minor capitalism.
See, the problem with the 2nd Russian Revolution was that all Marxist theory bases revolutions in a Capitalist country. Russia never underwent capitalism, so Capitalism had to be either artificially created, or what Stalin did (which is arguably, the better path actually) massive industrialition had to be forced. Most critics of Stalin, including Trotsky, give him the credit that he industrialized the nation successfully.

Except for the fact that Lenin's USSR wasn't the militaristic one that we all know and love from WW2 and the Cold War. Lenin was the most benign leader of the Soviet Union, and he created a country with similar living conditions to that of the USA at that time. Once Stalin took office, that's when things start going to hell. Stalin was the murderer, Lenin was somewhat of a grandfather to the people.

Most people fail to realize that Lenin simply modified Marx's theory. Trotsky was supposed to succeed Lenin, but Stalin took over. Stalin was essentially a ruthless dictator, and under his rule, Russia failed to transition into a Marxist state. Instead, it, like China, became totalitarian. If he weren't in the picture, then Russia would have become a prosperous Marxist country.

Lenin's economic plans insured that the country would attain some growth. the NEP it was called, New Economic Plan. It was highly criticized, even by Trotsky, so it was going to revised, but instead it was enlarged by Stalin. The NEP allowed for minor land to be owned by peasants and farmers, who would sell the food to the central committee who would give it out to the people.

Trotsky criticized it because during the civil war, the central committee owned all means of production and was able to divert resources to the soldiers efficiently. He basically said, since the war is over, we can disband the military into a minor peacekeeping force, and have the Central Committee send food/resources/etc. to all the people of Russia instead of having people buy it and encouraging minor capitalism.

See, the problem with the 2nd Russian Revolution was that all Marxist theory bases revolutions in a Capitalist country. Russia never underwent capitalism, so Capitalism had to be either artificially created, or what Stalin did (which is arguably, the better path actually) massive industrialition had to be forced. Most critics of Stalin, including Trotsky, give him the credit that he industrialized the nation successfully.

Trotsky wasn't a "man of peace" himself, he was just on the run from Stalin until the unfortunate ice pick to the head while in Mexico. Russia murdered their own; Stalin was obsessed with Hitler ( and one of the early "Red Purges" of his own Red Army came about because of Hitler) and then Stalin made a PACT with Hitler in '39. Trotsky was more of the same. Look, a Marxist is a murderer by definition. Lenin coined the very word "terrorist" in the early 20's; it's all a nightmare.

Who the Soviets starved aside(which I know, they did), my statement is still true(Meaning, I'm not talking about who Stalin starved, I'm only talking about who Capitalism starved, which is in the high billions, and has been so for as long as it has existed).
You're going off-subject based off of the assumption that I'm a Stalin/Lenin Fanboy.
I realize Communism has mostly failed, but the idea is still here.
There are many conditions that have to be right in order for Communism to truly work.

The ultimate man, the stagnation of mankind, lies in Conservatism and right-wing politics; Socialism is the rope toward the Ubermensch, toward Communism. Ad hominem abusive usually and most notoriously involves insulting or belittling one's opponent, but can also involve pointing out factual but ostensible character flaws or actions which are irrelevant to the opponent's argument.
