Acting is wonderful...but the music makes this emotional scene come to life beyond imagination. Congratulations, you just made this manly man tear up, lol.
Even though there was sadder moments on the show, I cried more tears for this scene than any other scene. I mean I was really really crying. The emotion behind it, between the father and John Cho. One of the best scenes ever.
I've never watched this show, I just came across this clip and... WOW! It really made me cry. The acting is so brilliant and the scene is so subtle, not overly dramatic. Just very realistic. Thanks for posting.
The program has always used music so effectively...it slows down the pace...it always is emotional...the actors have time to emote...and it even fills a good deal of on-air finished program time quite inexpensively. Gray's Anatomy is really well-directed!
To be honest I didnt think it was that great. The crying didnt even seem realistic. The music didnt even make it sad. If u wanna see some sad shit that will make you cry, watch Cold Case endings.
does anyone know that one episode where the "dark skin" doctor lady was like helping this injured dude? and then she waz gonna use the elevator but the elevator dint wrk. anyone? (sorry, cuz i don't know my characters yet)

didn't knew that, thanks for the heads up. don't know any of the actors (mean the geezer and asian).
think they played this scene splendid, is one of the most saddest scenes i have ever encountered. watched it many many times =P think the song tributes to that also
This scene is powerful. John Cho does a very different role than normal, they did a great job of portraying what it really is like to have something like this happen..
@GreatnessItself so you dont think old yeller i sader cuz i do espessially since i had a dog who looked exactly like him and dies not to long ago and idk what from
i cry everytime i watch this scene he is good

That scene gets me every time. Coupled with Kate Havnevik's Nowhere Warm and it's tears galore. Grey's Anatomy is amazing.

I actually think this has some real-life groundings, as suicide is the biggest killing 20-to-30 something Korean men

I think the older man looked at him and realized there wasn't a thing he could say to the kid to make him feel worse than he already did.

Wow, John Cho is almost not recognizable. I mean that as a high compliment.

Usually when comedic actors get serious and dramatic, it's really good.
