Keichii was never really the 'star'. It was her all along, it's just he had a few arcs that were told through his eyes. Just because an arc is told through someone's eyes doesn't mean they're the main character.

Also, the manga and matsuri are just adaptions of the sound novel, just like the anime, so of course she's still the main character :3.

U sure she's the star I figured it was either her Keichi or Spoiler: Takano. Ur right about the arc thing thing the 1st Higurashi series mostly had Keichi arcs Kai and Rei were mostly Rika. There were other games besides Matsuri but their all the same, so Idk if their adaptations or not. I'll wait till all the games get translated to play/read them, anyway I always liked Rika, so it don't matter if she's the star or not.

Oh so it's Lambda's nickname I didn't know, I've never heard Takano being called 34-tan, did the fans call her that? Well the chary's fight each other with their weapons or use their hands or other objects I haven't seen Takano use her gun even tho she has 1, but i haven't seen that many vids of Daybreak. And it does have story to it, if u choose to play with Mion and Keichi their ending has Mion tell Keichi she loves him and him running away

I think it doesn't mean anything. It's usually a thing which kids do, they create some meaningless word and add it to their speech randomly.

The village is in a timeloop, and only Rika fully remembers everything that has happened in the previous loops. Each arc is a loop, and there's like, what, atleast 10 arcs? And Rika's 10+ each time, she's over 100 years old. And because of this, she tries to act really kiddish to not scare her friends.
