Some of these villain transformations over the years, haven't necessarily been for the best.

I despised Riddler's Marilyn Manson look. Same with Mr. Freeze in The Batman. Both of their appearances in The Animated Series was much better, imo.

As far as Scarecrow's new look, he had a cool design to him. But, Scarecrow was a small, weak man ... who used fear toxins. He wasn't The Grim Reaper.

I don't if anyone else feels this way but. The Dark Knight Joker seems kinda like a character all to himself. The Cartoon joker and the Movie Joker are pretty different as far as behavior of psycosi.

Well that's kinda true and kinda not. Ledger based his Joker largely on Cesar Romero, the Joker from the campy 60's series (at least in appearance). But his adaptation was the truest to the COMIC book version of the Joker to date. Joker started off as a bank robber and a murderer. Later, in the 60's, his character transformed into a harmless prankster..but the 80's saw him begin to go back to his murderous roots.
