  • I miss POWER I football.

  • I've never seen this in slo-mo, it gives you a better perspective than at real time. Doesn't quite live up to the all of the hype about the play after watching it like this. At Jackson's angle and speed no linebacker could have stopped him. Bosworth at least stuck him hard. Thanks for posting it.

  • I'd always heard that Bo 'ran through' Bosworth on this play, however this video doesnt even suggest that. Bo had the speed as well as the leverage when these two met for this encounter,.. .. and of course he's going to make the score.. Two great athletes of their day.. One of the greatest runners ever as well as an elite class linebacker..

  • I think Bo Jackson should be in the hall of fame

  • saw it live and always thought Bo ran him over but it's clear he had the angle, Bosworth did what he could.

  • I was at this game sitting in the endzone right above the play. Trust me, as a lifelong Seahawks fan, it was even uglier in person. Even had The Boz been able to set, Bo would have run him over.

  • This stupid play is so over-rated and over-hyped. Bo is running full speed straight ahead and Boz is running laterally and can't get his head in front of Bo. As a result, Bo pretty much runs through the shoulder pad and one arm tackle of the Boz. It was a bad angle and the Boz just got caught in a bad spot. I'm not a big fan of either player and if this was a full head on collision it would have turned out differently.

  • @giantmidget08 :Thats what a bitch would say.

  • Lag!!!!!

  • This play gets too much hype. Bo Jackson was one of the greats before his hip injury but this collision was pretty gay. No LB in the league makes that tackle at the 1 vs. Bo. Had he went helmet to helmet and put Boz on his back, this would be worth the trash talk.

  • @lathumpipe So true... In all fairness Boz didn't have the angle and Bo had momentum driving into the endzone.

  • Was that fucking slow enough?

  • Bo Jackson=STEROIDS

    Brian Bosworth=STEROIDS

  • wow, is that a 4chan gif?

  • #1 THE BOZ

  • Anyone who knows football knows how talented Bosworth was. I dont like him but as a fellow player respect his talent. He would have been a great player if not for injuries...

  • @showmetexas don't forget herschel walker

  • God damn, that was like watching a fucking animated gif.

  • The "Bo Boz" jam!!

  • why does everyone put this up who the fuck is brian bosworth? is supposed to be raw?

  • I always thought Bo was faster than that.

  • Bosworth one of the biggest bust ever

  • In last nights game, Bears vs Lions. What Javed Best did to the Bears saftey #31, kinda reminded me of Jackson vs Bosworth.

  • It's funny when people trash talk Bosworth. It's funny when people trash talk Jackson for that matter. I'd like to see any arm chair quarterback mother fucker try to stop Jackson or run past Boz in either ones prime. Good luck in not getting fucking wrecked.

  • Comment courtesy of madjohne. Jackson was better over all than the Boz but this is not as devastating as everybody hypes it to be. The Boz did better than most in wrapping up Bo Diddly

  • brian bosworth made a terrible tackle. he tackled way too high making it easy for bo jackson to truck him. either way bo jackson is overall better.

  • Jackson ran over everybody why is it such a big deal he punked a punk .The Raiders are comming back they building a BULLY in Oakland thank God

  • That was weak! Bo Jackson was hit in that direction helping him fall in the inzone.

  • Love Bo! I had the displeasure of meeting Marcus Allen... what a total phony that guy is. I went up to him with my friend, said, "hi, how are you? I've been a big fan since your 'SC days!" He gave me this fark off look, then he goes to my friend -- who happened to be blonde and female -- and he puts on his nice guy act. Literary two seconds after he blatantly refused to acknowledge my existence.

The sad thing is, my friend really bought that Allen was this great guy.

  • The only problem is Bosworth was supposed to be AWESOME. Bo exposed him as nothing but an overhyped punk!

  • Bo knows football :)

  • Boy, that spear chucker sure could run, and there wasn't a Lion on the field!

  • This is so stupid, he didn't get completely run over. I played linebacker and when you don't get your should pads under theirs with their momentum, you will always go back some. Your normally playing laterally anyways so you will go back some a lot, but your job is to stop the play. Those were two great athletes and the Boz just didn't get low enough for the Bo.

  • What a bust

  • Imagine the future Bo, cuz your not in it.

  • Brian Bozworthless was an overrated 'roidhead and he accomplished ZILCH in his 3 year NFL career.

  • Bo was also having a good baseball career at the time. Damn Avascular necrosis.Damn it all to hell.

  • Bo jackson should haved truck that cracker

  • @89Ryanhoward That cracker should have racked that porch monkey.

  • @americantractor should have is a lame excuse, bo ran over the overrated over hyped bosworth

  • @89Ryanhoward honkey got trucked. We should send all whiteys back to yourup

  • @chicob1974 don't make sense out all, so ignorant

  • @89Ryanhoward he means cause americans came here as immigrants from europe in the U.K killed the indians took land and then made this the U.S.A after killing everyone off of it.

  • @Metroid338 And don't you forget it pussy.

  • @ghostdogmovies how could i ever forget such simple history? im pretty sure latin americans and indians were on here first and owned this land first but got kicked off brutally which makes me wonder why did they result in violence.

  • Why knock the BOZ. He got injured and the nfl lost a great player. A-holes knock the BOZ.

  • @sprsmoke boz was a steroid piece of shit that bo jackson made his life a living hell after this play so grow up and deal with it

  • Boz came at him - flat footed w/ his feet squared up & completely caught him...no explosion what so ever

  • BYE BYE BOSWORTH, BYE BYE BOSWORTH, BYE BYE BOSWORTH, WE CAME TO SEE YOU GO!!! MU BABY!!!

  • I see Jackson glancing off of Bozworth, not trucking him.

  • Sort of like Christian Okoyke of Kansas City when Steve Atwater lit him up. Once they got exposed it was all down hill for the both of them.

  • This is probably one of the more memorable plays in mnf history

  • Inb4.... "Boz" looks like a Chomo....

  • can you make it a little slower i didn't see what happened

  • @Bradysrush - Lol.

  • @givebeesachance Just got done playin Tecmo on the Wii Bo is still a beast!!!!!

  • I always thought Bo was nuts for playing football. He could have played baseball for 18 years. Hall of Fame, probably.

  • @habu027 I agree, but he was half the baseball player that he was football player.

  • NObody gets run over in this clip what so ever. I am a college middle linebacker myself and i hate seeing this clip and how everybody says how the Boz got ran over. No he doesnt? he brings BO down within two yards of hitting him, the ball just happened to be near the goal line. All this shows is how BO knows how to accelerate when he see's that goaline. I dont care who you are your not gonna stop a 230 lb man on a dime who ran a consistent 4.4 40.

  • @TheChambers44 no ur not ur not a college middle linebacker.

  • @xzeen69x actually prick i am

  • @TheChambers44 See, now you know hes telling the truth. There's the Roid Rage/Im-Better-Than-You Complex

  • @Willet05 Haha sorry tough guy but i dont take any short cuts

  • @TheChambers44 They say he got ran over because the Boz was talking crap before the game said he would have no problem containing Jackson. (221 yards and 3 TDs) Also that hit Jacked up Bozs shoulder and he was never the same after that. Only played two games the next season. Then quit because Bo Jackson ran his ass over.

  • @lbaker215 I never once said BO didnt have a good game, i never once said BOZ didnt run his mouth, but if u think Boz's career ended because of this play ur crazy. He had shoulder problems in college, way before he even got in the pros. Did he get the better of Boz this play?... Yes... Did he run the Boz over?.. Not quite. Im a fan of both guys but nobody ran over anyone on this play.

  • @TheChambers44 Hey Mr college Middle linebacker you dont make tackles in the end zone they are called Touch Downs

  • @lbaker215 Wow smartass did you come up with that all by yourself? haha this play is just over exaggerated in my book. Everyone knows BO was better than Bosworth no doubt about that but still nobody gets ran over in this clip. Just a good hard run.

  • @TheChambers44 Exactly, and he was clocked at 4.12 at one point which is olympic caliber...he was just an absurd athlete.

  • Craig Heyward actually made Brian Bosworth CRY. Tears rolling down his face.

I don't see any crying going on here.

  • That hit sent Bosworth to a career in Movies!!!

  • @charich1 exaggeration....boz still made the tackle

  • I am British and got into American football when Marcus Allen and then Bo Jackson played for The Raiders.

I loved those guys along with Howie Long etc.

It has been downhill since them I'm afraid, but I live in hope of a return to the glory days.

  • I'm a Broncos fan. I hate the Raiders, but Bo Jackson was a monster. He made his reputation and torched Bosworth's in that game. I really hated Bosworth, so I was rooting for him. You can count on one finger the number of times I've pulled for a Raider. I always had a soft spot for Bo though, just because of that game. It really sucked that he got hurt. He might have erased some records.

  • so what? no ones gonna stop that, Bo had full speed and momentum. this isnt making boz look bad. give me a break w.that weak ass shit.

  • The slow motion ruined it

  • It's not a fair match up considering the angle Bosworth was tackling Bo Jackson at. Anyone with knowledge about tackling technique can confirm what I stated above.

  • @severebrutalized I agree - this isnt a big deal by Bo Jackson - if Bosworth would have arrived earlier and hit Jackson head on instead of the side - he would have destroyed Bo Jackson - this is over rated bull shit - this isnt Earl Campbell.

  • @TommyC503 Are you Brian Bosworth or did you not really watch the video? Not only did he run him over, but your statement even says he isnt nearly fast enough compared to Bo to being able to "arrive earlier". Power and Speed, that was Bo...and no one knows it better than you Boz.

  • It was a big deal cuz boz had been talkin mad shit sayin he would stop Bo...n well

  • watch quincy wilson run about 20 yards then pancake merriweather to the ground (knocking merriweather back 4 yards in the process) then leap over merriweather and run an additional 20 yards for the td.....now thats running over someone.

  • this is what all the hype is about? hell i thought jackson ran over bosworth. what i see in this video is a good running back getting lower than the defender and gaining an extra 2 or 3 yards......happens about 30 times a game. bosworth did bring jackson to the ground.

running over someone would be wilson? of w. virginia running over miami db merriweather in 2003 game i believe between w. virginia-miami. now thats running over someone.

  • So many idiots if he blew him over like mile alstott it would be a big deal-boz held on to him from start to finish and you think that was a power blast then boz would of been on his back as soon as he got hit-

  • this is how you lead with you shoulder, and not end up with a neck/spine injury.

  • Bo Knows Boz!

  • BO ran his ass over....what else do you people need to run in to??? BO ran over BRIAN BOSWORTH'S ASS ALL OVER AGAIN?????

  • Nobody realizes that boz was coming off a block, not in motion, trying to stop a 220-230 pound running back who can run a 4.4 probably, who was in full motion.

  • I DEMAND THIS BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY!

  • Dont criticize the guy just for making a comment d#ck. Im sure your a real rocket.

  • I get so tired of hearing herschel was better. If bo and herschel were on the same team herschel would have been the backup.

  • @tigerblood1993 Hey Tiger you want to see A REAL RUN CHECK THIS OUT v=7uaPTIkiYSM&feature=related Its called "EARL CAMPBELL PUNKS A UY FROM RICE"

  • @dal4018 Wow that video was awesome the guy got MANHANDLED!

  • @tigerblood1993 You talking about my guy Earl Campbell if so yes they guy probably called him DADDY AFTERWARD!!!!!!!!

  • why the fuck is Bosworth tackling with his head on the wrong side? Elementary tackling skills there buddy....

  • It was considered to be a big knock on Bosworth because Boz was so into self promotion, but really wasn't anything special. He wasn't fast, so he was put on the inside of a 3-4 defense as a run stopper. And yet, when he met Jackson head on at the 2 yard line, AFTER Bo had to slow down to make the cut inside, Jackson stood him up and blew past him and landed two yards deep in the end zone.

  • So, if your only job is top stop the run inside, but in a one-on-one situation you get knocked backwards 4 yards, it means you aren't very good at the one thing your team uses you for, and therefore you should shut your mouth and quit promoting yourself as something special.

  • I say Bo won

  • this is not the way I remember the play.I seem to recall boz being blown away back on his rear end and jackson just running over him.I guess it's just the mind playing tricks.

  • bo suffered a hip pointer in this same game and left the game, it eventually ended his career.

    bo was a 'physical specimen'.

  • jackson had the luxury to move to the side after they collided, he used leverage to go to the left so bosworth couldnt stuff him straight backwards, momentum carried him to the side, he did not RUN OVER bosworth!

  • This play isn't overrated. I love Auburn and Bo was my idol. Bozworth talked so much sh*t before this game about how Bo Jackson wasn't anything he couldn't handle etc...Bo ran through him once, and flat ran over him a 2nd time.

  • @aw230012 yes it is overrated. Boz made the tackle. obviously nobody is going to stop a 240 pound running back that runs a 4.2 at full speed and move him backwards

  • @BoomerSoonerAllDay Bosworth didn't "make the tackle" on this play. See where Bo crosses the goal line? Play over. Watch the play again, Boz isn't standing still, and Bo isn't exactly running full speed. Is this the most impressive run in history? No. Should Bosworth have made this tackle? Arguably not. But Bosworth's big mouth makes it one of the greatest moments in sports.

  • stupid overrated play. 235lb 4.1 sprinter gets tackled pretty well I thought. Just because it was a t.d. Boz was a decent player, just had injuries that ended career.

  • Why's this such a big deal play???

  • The difference in speed and force and timing. Bo had a full steam of running while Bosworth was just getting his speed going.

  • Doesnt prove much. Theres other factors involved. Its not just one on one.

  • Boz wasn't even an NFL quality player without juice, but that doesn't change the fact Jackson was overrated as a RB. He lacked one of the most important qualities of a RB: durability.

  • @veryslyfox Like Bo didnt juice. Yeah right. They all did.

  • @veryslyfox It's so easy to get caught up in the speed, strength, acceleration and razor sharp cuts...

but you are right. You have to be able to take the pounding if you want to be a back in the NFL for any length of time. You aren't getting hit by 20 year old kids anymore.

  • this isn't overrated...bosworth talked shit and couldn't tackle him...it's funny is what it is

  • @leschampagnes1-- Rules of physics you ignorant baboon. Someone running near full-speed into ANYONE is going to have the momentum to run through them.. What's funny is that people don't consider such basic laws of nature before making statements. Go flaunt your ignorance somewhere else.

  • @xanderschwab uh no that's not true bosworth was running too maybe he should've ran faster...and bo wasn't going full speed he JUST made a cut...watch the video and go flaunt your ignorance somewhere else

  • As a Seahawk fan I saw plenty of Bo and I can tell you this. There is not a linebacker in the history of the NFL that would have stopped this run. Not trying to defend Bosworth but Bo was unstoppable

  • @seatownwilly bosworth was overrated...Bo was a great back but replace Bosworth on this play with 2000 Ray Lewis, 1988 Lawrence Taylor, or even Steve Atwater or JOhn Lynch. That motherfucker's getting stopped at the 1 if u do.

  • @mikemarc92

Lol. Get real. Bo is the fucking man. He would run right through any of them. Best athlete of all time.

  • @filthyjames dont think so let me see him run over James Harrison

  • @mikemarc92 I disagree. Replace Bosworth with any middle linebacker in the history of the NFL. I still think Bo gets into the end zone. Why 1988 Lawrence Taylor? LT wasn't even in his prime in 1988. He won MVP awards in 1981, 1982, and 1986.

  • unfortunately you are all wrong and were only told what happened ... the facts are the play was designed for only a FEW yards and the linebackers were not to be blocked.. BO said.* they cant stop me) you see the results,, no linebackers were blocked and the alabama jammer went in for 6,, he said he would and did,, the nfl was so inferrior for him,,, baseball was so much a challenge...for it was against his natural talent and he could not just bully himself ..

  • Those who think this is an overrated play, did not live during these days!

The Boz was super hyped superman and was supposed to me superior physically to all. Head to head with Bo and getting driven back int o the endzone was BIG news at the time. Bo mentions that of all his plays, the most people talk to him about was this play in football and the throw from left field where from the warning track he threw out Harold Reynolds at home plate.

  • @egonzinc

Meh. Best Bo Jackson play was when he returned a kick form 10 yards deep in the endzone, ran all the way to the opponent's 1, turned around, ran back to his own end zone, then finally turned around again and ran another 100 yards to score the touchdown.

Or was that just Tecmo Superbowl...

  • @givebeesachance That was Hershel Walker, duh!

  • @givebeesachance, Bo Jackson second only to Chuck Norris.

  • @givebeesachance SUPER TECMO BOWL.. I DID THAT TOO...

  • @magiccow64 Actually if you break down the mechanics of TSB, you'll fing RP & MS on kickoffs come from the right tackle. Mathematically the best kickoff returner in the game is a tie between Craig Heyward and someone from the Steelers (Merril Hoge?).

  • @DizzyBlizzy How about we play and i show you i can return a kick on anyone...

  • the bos was such a fag

  • over hyped play even medium talented rb can drive a lb back at any given play

  • This happens every Sunday and to the best linebackers in the NFL.

    Carry on.

  • This has to be the most overblown play in NFL history. Bo had many runs more impressive than this, and many NFL defensive players - many great defensive players - have been trucked worse than this. Watch one of Bo's other clips where he absolutely pancakes Ronnie Lott, of all people, or one of Earl Campbell's clips where he flattens Isiah Robertson or runs through Jack Tatum's best shot and still scores. Bo was a phenom and Bosworth was overrated, but this play is evidence of neither.

  • Every time I watch this play I wonder what the big deal is. This play doesn't even seem abnormal in the least bit. Jackson had the momentum, Bosworth wasn't able to get squared up, and the guy scored a touchdown.

I can show you thousands of NFL plays where a player actually runs over another player. This is not one of them.

Bo had a great game. There's no doubt about that but this might be the most overrated play I've ever seen.

  • well if you guys thought boz was gona take him down or vice versa bo wasn't running barely had momentum

  • This play is really a non-issue.

How many goal line match ups between LB and RB go in the favor of the LB?

  • To hyped up athletes only Bo lived up to the Hype. Boz cashed in on the hype but never lived up to it.

  • The Jackson-Allen backfield had the potential to be the most explosive in NFL history until Jackson got hurt. I was a Raider season ticket holder and had the honor of watching Bo for the seasons he played for the Raiders. Bo was huge and was lightning fast. We only saw a glimpse of his potential.

  • Bo was the man! Sadly the one and Only Raider game I went to was the one Bo got his Hip jacked up in. He definitely had the tools to be a great, but he never got to finish his career. We can only assume now.....

  • The only thing that made this play great was Boz's big mouth. He talked trash the entire week leading up to the game. Saying he used to want to be a Raider, they're soft and what he was going to do. He never missed a chance to talk it up. If not for that it would have been just another Bo Jackson TD. After that play he was just sitting on his helmet staring into space. He could not live it down and not sure if he has now. This is why you dont talk trash, let you're play do the talking

  • yeah he didnt truck him, he stood his ass up, haha, boz got schooled

  • @cerfani oh snap he got stood up yo! yo home dawg he got schooled b! your soo white you steal black euphemism like the rest

  • @zacatetas Wow . dumb .

  • That would have been considered a good tackle on a strong man if it hadn't been a td.

  • Boz wish he had this one back

  • cool it on the slow motion

  • more like "ho jackson"

  • @zacatetas stfu beaner

  • I wouldn't call that "running over" but he certainly had the advantage of momentum.

  • check out the power play when he ran by boz, steve largent said it felt like a gust of wind goin by him

  • Yea this was a big deal cause Boz was shooting his mouth off, and he ate his words. I saw this thing where Boz said "they expected me to be the next Dick Butkus". No, Boz had a big mouth, and he put his foot in his mouth, and we loved to hate him, and he took steroids cause thats why he was 245-255 or whatever.

  • Bo ran over many many guys but that wasn't one of them.

  • Dude didnt even get trucked...just got beat

  • Mommy--he got runded over!!!--Thats gonna leave a mark..

  • The original double threat Bo Jackson

  • how about you actually play the vid at full speed instead of using slo mo the ENTIRE WAY

  • It was always hard to stop Bo. However, hitting him high from that angle wasn`t going to stop him.

  • @DoubleVisionandco watch the running down a dream video of bo, it was hard to hit him low to

  • Much ado about nothing. Bo, a great runner, simply had a better position and bounced off and away.

  • the greatest running back and athlete of all time, too bad his nfl career got shortened by an injury

  • @raider7275 Hes not the greatest RB of all time. He "could have been".... But theres lots of "could have beens". Jim Brown is the greatest RB. Only played 9 seasons, whole defenses would be geared to stop Jim and hed still get 100 plus yards every game. THey didnt have 16 game seasons then and hed get 1400 plus yards every year. Bo Jackson was great, he had the speed, the power, the moves, but when you talk "whose the greatest", total yards, career yards, etc.

  • Comment removed

  • brian bosworthless

  • No LB in the history of the NFL could have stopped Bo in that situation. The fact that it was replayed over and over was VERY unfair to Bosworth.

  • No one's tackling a big back from that angle and that close to the goalline.

  • Now i don't like the raiders but that was a hell of a truck

  • Yes, Boz did get trucked....no doubt. But, in all fairness, Boz was never in the right position to tackle Bo in the first place. His head & shoulders were behind Bo, not in front of him. Boz should've aimed at Bo's hips, with head & shoulders between Bo and the goal. Then, he MIGHT have driven Bo sideways. Then, he MIGHT have stayed in the league longer. Boz should've known better. Hell, kids learn that technique in Pop Warner. It was defintiely a costly mistake...have you seen a Boz movie ?!

  • true but he talked bad about bo, he talked how he was gonna shut bo down, he didn't i think bo ended up gettin over 200 yards that game

  • @valtarq he wasn't in the right position all night

  • @valtarq if he was squared up it probably would have ended his career

  • Not exactly running over Boz....

  • This was the play that tarnished Bosworth's career.

  • Why did you have to make it on such super slow motion???

  • yes it was the angle. his trash talking is why people like to rub this in.

  • boz cudnt quite stop his momentum cuz it was a bad angle..not head on...so he was going 2 man handle bo..but bo twisted out of his grasp...u wud have 2 b5x bigger than sum1 2 totally stop sum1 from a angle who has u beaten by a step!! boz never quite hit him bo hit boz!!! he never tried 2 run over boz!!when bo sensed bozs strength he twisted @ last sec...

  • dont try and act like a scientist when u cant even spell

  • LOL
