  • Hope to get one from ebay along with Mario Party-e...someday.

  • "Toin Coss" funny thing is i didnt catch that until it popped up on the screen lol

  • Can u use this with gba sp?

  • Accually you can mod it for the DS original and it works fine with the DS lite ask anyone else with a e-reader and a DS lite.

  • I bought e-reader from some guy on amazon and I got like a crapload of cards with it (some not even e-reader) the e-reader cards I got are 2 Air Hockey Cards, 6 Animal Crossing Cards, Manhole, Balloon Fight, Pinball, Donkey Kong(no junior :( ), Mario Bros, and Pokemon Lady Astrid. For 5 FREAKING DOLLARS WITH THE E-READER!

  • @polocatfan276 I picked mine up for 8 dollars unboxed and no cards :(

  • @spongethrob mine came with the box but it was open

  • i have like 10 of thoes pokemon cards that have the code

  • They remade something similar to this for the 3ds, but it uses the 3ds built-in camera to read the cards

  • Wow awesome and I don't even have an e-reader

  • i always wanted one of those for leafgreen XD

  • the DS/3DS needs this !

  • i have that pichu! didn't realise until now, i believe i traded it for an abra or something back when i was at school :p

  • I have those pokemon cards.

I got them for about 5cents each.

    Didn't know they were rare

  • on a gba sp if u put in a game backwards... like with the title faceing upwards,it reads the game backwards so the old gamebo logo will pop up and u can make it bigger with the l and r triggers go try it :)

  • i wish i was a gamer from 2001-2005 the gameboy adance and pokemon and gamecube hayday

  • This is cool. Good job man.

  • does it work on GBA SP

  • @MegaCybershadow watch the video

  • The e reader does work on the micro.. I hate using it though because you have to kind of force it in and it bends the link cable plug in up a bit and I don't want to break it

  • Comment removed

  • I had both of those pokemon card D: awwww

  • Omg I have e-reader pokemon cards and i never knew it!!!!!!

  • now 3ds can read the cards :D

  • Cool, but the Mario 3 cards are so expensive :(

  • I wonder if anyone started scanning these cards to their computers and then uploading the image to the internet for people to print out.

  • @werty1432k probably but i think codes or barcodes are printed with ta special ink or something so it probably wont work.

  • @werty1432k yep

  • I have a graveler e-card but I don't have the e-reader

  • So.. is this only playable on the Game Boy Advance, not the SP?

  • I remeber having a Turtle E-reader card, and I never understood the pattern in the side. until i read about this machine.

  • ive had mine for 8 years and it still works perfectly

  • ... lol ... you said "manhole" ... lol

  • I already know why not many people bought that thing.

    (scary robotic voice)

  • ..You want that ho-oh pokemon card?

  • thank you tvandlust because of you I picked one up of ebay perfect condition and ten games for $52 thank you so much

  • F.Y.I. the original DS (DS Phat) used the same Charger model AND battery that the Gameboy Advance SP used, funny how Nintendo would use some of the same components again.

  • xDDDDDD Toin Coss. funny

  • Where can I buy E-Reader Cards???

  • @batursi ebay

  • Will it work with a DS?

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion did you even watch the video.

  • @getsomegames It cut off on me early. God knows why.

  • 08:53 ...fail? The GBA wasnt powered on. O_O

  • i think this thing is THE FUTURE considering im 14 years old i think its amazing that they didnt mod this into a "slimmer" type and imagine useing credit card type cards to play games, and maybe a SD card or a special memory card slot in the card reader to save games like "pokemon soul silver" just play it, and save it into the memory card, then maybe you dont even have to use the card again :D, just a thought, i mean...i would make it...

  • EVERYONE:

You Can Get Cards For This On Nintendo.Com

  • i can get this new sealed :)

  • they should have released a yugioh gamecube game that used this. omg, that wouldve been cool

  • can you play like games if you print them on printer

  • i have never heard of this e reader thing gizmo

  • Lol, I had one of these. Still do.

Honestly, who's actually gonna go around in public with a bunch of cards? It's too much of a hassle.

  • Toin Coss Hahahahaha.

  • Toin coss, lawl

  • Comment removed

  • Toin coss haha.

Would scanning the cards ruin them? Like that old Pokémon deck holder that pushed your cards out, ruining them at the same time.

  • @AndrewXAnarchy Hm, not to my knowledge, no. All of my cards are still in tip top shape. That's not to say it couldn't ruin them, but I haven't experienced it and I've never heard of it happening.

  • @tvandlust actually the most valuable e reader card is the eon ticket

  • @alejandropokemon0987 No, that's not quite right. The Eon Ticket card was in Nintendo Power and Toys R Us, which means it was available both nationally and publicly. It's rarer than some cards for sure, but it is not rarer than the E3 set, which were only available at a trade show for a couple of days, after which, many of them were thrown away.

  • hollllllyyy fuck

i had that hophip card before and i thru it out like a year ago when i cleaned my room....

  • i have 18 pokemon e reader cards they worth much

  • @smashmaster13 what are they

  • I wish I knew where my e reader ran off to

  • I kinda want something like this today with ds and wii. but with alot more cards. like special outfits in super mario galaxy or shiny pokemon in pokemon or something

  • hahaha I remember these!

  • Just a little trivial question, any idea how much cards cost back when they were released?

  • @buddytyree Hmm. Maybe $5 a pack? I don't remember exactly, but that sounds about right. Not more than $10, that's for sure.

  • Cool. I've always wanted one of those things.

Have you ever seen an e-reader in a GBA micro? Looks hilarious.

  • I'd like to see someone make an atari 2600 emulator ECard for this thing. That would be pimp.

  • A 720p Video Camera would have been very nice for a video like this. Can get them pretty cheep these days!

great video, I've never heard of this before.

  • Not bad...I might buy one

  • "Toin coss"

  • Nice vidd dud : D

  • Great review craig! and a very interesting item, i've seen it on ebay a few times, i think i should pick one up.

  • 6:02 - "Toin Coss" :)

  • I dunno why but I never would've noticed had you not pointed that out =P It just sounded right when he said it for some reason.

  • Were you using the Gameboy adapter for the Gamecube to do your screen caps?

  • so this add on isnt all that hard to get and most of the cards arent hard to find awsome i might want to pick one of these up for my sp

  • Pretty cool. It would not go too far though because the games to far to much effort to boot. 10 cards for a single NES game would be a pain of an ass to carry around.

  • i completely forgot the e-reader even existed until now, shame on me, i know

  • I REMEMBER THAT THING!

  • Hey, I would love to know how you feel about the new DS coming out. As for the video, I feel the cards where a hassle, but it is a neat and interesting accessory.

  • These are pretty neat.

  • The game boy advance was the game boy I had the shortest amount of time.

  • What a cool video. I never knew this thing did so much.

    Great over-view, Bro!

  • i have a hard time finding cards. no stores have them here.

  • I still have my e-reader connected to my Gamecube through the Gameboy Advance Player.... just for fun.

I have a ton of those e-reader cards still... mostly Animal Crossing.

I also have the Mario Party e-Card set that came out.

  • I got one of these. A pretty cool, niche accessory.

  • Dude that's so funny bro. I was thinking about doing an eReader review my next video actually. You beat me to it. lol Great review bro!

  • Yes, that is true. Just the cards though; the units themselves are not region locked from being used in another region's GBAs.

  • i had oen of these and i loved it.

    i miss my moded GBA

Actuily we still have one moded gba but it has an accedent and the screen has a small crack in it's data cable. one day i'll pull the thing abart again and fix that but the tv out makes up for it

    The other one wich had

    1. backlight kit

    2. tv out.

    3. custom front/back plate.

    4. switch for internal bootloader.

  • Awesome video! That's the first time I've ever seen one and it's neat to see how it works! That Air Hockey game looks really fun!

  • Such a cool device, it's a shame we europeans never got it.

  • @finngamer MOVE TO AMERICA (The land of the not so free)

  • this looks pretty awsome might look for one

  • NICE

  • i had one but was too young to know how to fully use it

  • Dude, that's badass.

You should "take a look at " the Gameboy camera if you have one.

  • I did one already. :) Uploaded it back in November.

  • Wow, I envy you, this never reached Europe and I have tons of Pokemon cards... :(

  • seems like a cool thing! :D Great review! :D

  • ereader works just fine on the nintendo ds lite...

  • So it does! My mistake! I remembered trying to use it before, but the DS Lite would not recognize the e-Reader. Thanks!

  • i had one i thoght it was the coolest thing

  • Sweet video dude. 6mins..Toin Coss ;) You'd be amazed how often that happens to me!

  • Haha, yeah, I caught that in editing, but I was just like "Screw it, I'm not re-recording!"

  • I always thought that the e-Reader was interesting.

  • i always wanted one !! :(

  • cool!

    nive video Craig 5/5
