I have got the exact same engine as this, It is a Rotax DSB. How did you bump start it on the stand and get it to idle??

It doesn't look like the same rotax 100cc I had. The cylinder head wasn't rounded in the back, it was squared off. They sound similar though.

k Numb nuts this is a Rotax 100cc direct drive engine ,I should know cos I got one on my Simon Wright Kart,Its an early Reed valve engine with the old Righetti air box mounted to the front ,It certainly aint a TKM ,I also should know as my 2 girls race TKM ,Rotax have been producing Engines for decades for all different machines Kart engines being one of their many applications ,these engines are used mainly by the Legends or Vintage classes now but will and I mean WILL keep up with a Rotax Max

I am pretty sure it is a Rotax, and not a Yamaha 100cc. Like what harryf965 said, when people hear rotax they think the Rotax Max. By the look and sound, it is a Rotax 100cc rotary. All these motors look the same though, whether it be the rotax 100cc, the vortex, DAP, comer, komet or parilla.

A. this aint no rotax, hpv, or kt100 motor, this is a TKM 100cc engine. dont sound like it, and dont look like it.

B. the seat positioning is way off. needs to be angled way more than that

You guys have no idea, this engine is indeed a rotax. It looks like an older aircooled ica engine. Rotaxes now are completely different, before these engines used to be the norm. Rotax makes alot of different engines, not just kart engines btw. That is a direct drive rotax 100cc has about 18,000 rpm.

This is def a Rotax, it looks to me like a 87 reed valve model. Rotax also made piston port 100cc aircooled engines until the mid 90's. To kraka495 Rotax did make 100cc engines, TAG simply means Touch and go, its not an engine manufacturer, its just a way a clutched kart starts like rotax maxes.

i can tell by the pipe and the fact that its an aircooled 100cc 2-stroke its a jica. its also direct drive u can tell by how it shuts off. sound of the motor as well for sure a jica.
