  • another sign of how wild capitalism can be devastating,

another example that there is no democracy in the US,

another example showing that the ''two party'' system in the US is an illusion..

  • @TimmacTR I agree except for the last part. The two party system is all to real and its the reason why Americans are getting screwed over. Democracy is about having choices, not just the choice between getting slapped in the face by the right hand or left hand.

  • @vcdna1 it really is, do you have a choice actually except right wing liberal and right wing conservative in the us? and even that is not a real choice..

  • @TimmacTR you only get to choose who's gonna rape you, but you can't opt out of getting rapped. Tens of millions of American register themselves to be rape by the BIG (R) OR BIG (D) all the while smiling and waving the flag. If hell is real I hope people who registered themselves to any party goes there.

  • @vcdna1 that's the way the system is working, get the people the illusion they chose what they got so that they don't complain....the problem is, it's not only in the US...

  • ok look fuk the huff post all these news about profit college are copy from pbs frontlin's college inc.

  • we need to inform those stupid minority and soldier with mess up brain these schools are useless avoid them lilke the plague

  • Good job Ana.

  • The fact a person would decide to go to a for profit school may go to show how education is failing in general. Attending a for profit school mean a portion of YOUR investment is going to no value added persons who will NOT be contributing to tour education., Not that I'm saying they shouldn't be considered, but they should be considered care fully.

  • Mike Epps made fun of the Everest commercials (re 5:30)

  • I loved the last comment that was made about the spokesperson for that Everest commercial or whatever that place was. But yes, Ana is awesome and I hope she has her own show on MSNBC or something one day..........I'd love to see her go head to head with the News Cast on FOX news...........(a bunch a nut jobs).

  • @mictheorist as a progressive, I agree with you. We need to overturn the citizen's united ruling and kick 90 to 100% of the lobbyists out of Washington.

I don't like the idea of any group that lobbies to get tax money, whether it's corporations, unions, private prisons, military contractors, or anyone else. This is a huge problem that all Americans should seek reforms with.

  • Pull taxpayer federal funding from these colleges. Problem solved.

  • I never thought republicans as big business on colleges. Obama is the one who is trying to push people through college so it should be no surprise democrats get lobbyist money. 45% of people don't learn anything from college. State colleges do loan management that have grads be on deferment which can last for 3 years that push the loan out of the 2 year track rate so they have a lower default rate. Do some real investigative reporting Ana. All colleges are a business and for-profit.

  • @force3264 Yes all colleges have to operate in fiscally responsible business like manner, but that doesn't make them for profit. The colleges of topic have owners. partners, shareholders who invest money into the colleges like they would buying Microsoft stock They expect a return return on that investment => the return they would get if they invested it elsewhere. That business model doesn't exist at Private or public colleges, so they are NOT for profit colleges

  • @5lkk That business model does exist; you just need to know where to look. Private and public colleges need funding and it comes from tax payer dollar. Funding to build a new wing it doesn’t need, or a new swimming pool when the old works just as well. It’s not profit in terms of money but a gain just the same.

  • @5lkk An extreme example of profits for private and public colleges that anybody can see are with the banks. Obama might have ended the FFEL, but he just put a band-aid on a gushing wound. Banks are stilled being bailed out with guaranteed money from the federal reserve. Private and public colleges push students toward lenders and get legal kick backs. Lenders get to sell debt and jack up interest rates. When the student can no longer pay, federal reserve bails them out.

  • @5lkk federalreserve(.)gov/newsevents/press/monetary/20081125a(.)htm "TALF, a facility that will help market participants meet the credit needs of households and small businesses by supporting the issuance of ABS collateralized by student loans ..." Force banks to make bad loans then bail them out. The legal kick back for colleges are suppose to lower cost but cost has been increasing instead. Sounds like all colleges are a scam to me.

  • @5lkk Scams and for profit motives are for all colleges, you want more proof, just ask and I'll provide.

  • MOTHERFUCKER, PICK UP THE PHONE, DAMN! MAKE A CALL THAT CHANGES YOUR FUCKING LIFE, DOG! CALL OR DIE! >=O

  • I wonder what...The TYT's angle is....

  • @moviedude22 Many business DO work with their debtors to increase the odds of debt recovery, the action of deferment you mention isn't unusual in the business world, not worth bring up when the import figure is the rate of actual defaults, after all options are exhausted. You jumped into Ana's shit for no reason at all, as best I can tell

  • Shame people who are trying to make something of themselves going back to school get scammed.

  • They target democrats because republicans don't value education AT ALL.

  • TYTU + Ana = brilliant! We've all known how much education means to Ana, and seeing her run these programs makes so much sense.

  • Yes. My mom is in debt $28,000 from going to the Art Institutes.... and she hates her job. Too bad TYT wasn't around like 10 years ago...

  • Look into digipen its a very good for profit college

  • Gotta go after [D] if you want money for education, [R] want to already cut education. For-profit colleges target minorities and people less familiar with their existing access to grants. Then those for-profits get extra money for maintaining a certain percentage of minority, and make even more.

  • r u on Facebook?

  • Another good video, glad to see you covering the very important topic of for-profit college scams from a number of different angles.

  • hey is there a place to find these articles you use Ana?

  • @jonnyuman54 huffingtonpost . com/2011/04/25/for-profit-colleges_n_853363.html

  • @ava0000 Thanks

  • Its cool that you are going to have a prof from a for profit college on.

This is why I like TYT.

  • Just proves politicians either Republic or Democratic are essentially the same.
