I grew up without gifts on Christmas and little ones on my birthday. I KNEW that my family was poor and they just could't afford buying me stuff so I was okay without gifts although it made me a little sad. I accepted it. Honestly the best birthday gift is knowing you're alive for another year, and Christmas is about Jesus Christ birth but we've converted it into consumerism. Not being able to get a gift is not a big deal, some people don't even know whether they will wake up alive the next day.

this really hit home with me because i am not in the riches family in te worls, but my parents do everything possible to make Christmas a special time of the year for me and my sisters. i might not be in a huge house with the nice cars, but i look at the paremta in this video and see that they love those kisa with all of their heart and are vrry greatful of target and ellen. I think she's really grateful. Even though she didn't say the words "thank you", she asked if she could hug Ellen, which I think is out of gratitude. Appreciation comes in all forms, and sometimes, a person doesn't need words to express gratitude. I think she was just so overwhelmed that she could barely express it in words.
