Just finished reading A Song of Ice and Fire and I can't wait for A Dance with Dragons. I haven't read too many fantasy series (other than A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Sword of Truth, etc) Do you have any recommendations for a fantasy or sci series that is similar to A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm looking for a series with a similar "gritty" feel. Thanks!
@SirWarrenG I'm not sure about "gritty", but some of the series I show are good. Anything by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance) are really good. Death Gate Cycle, Sovereign Stone, both are good series. But I "highly" recommend John Marco's "The Eyes of God, The Devil's Armor, and The Sword of Angels" trilogy very good. Same goes for his "Jackal of Nar, The Grand Design, Saints of the Sword" trilogy.
I love how you described Tad Williams books. I've read a few of them and they were good but I doubt I'd read them again! LOL I must say I LOVE Melanie Rawn's Books and as someone who's read both her books and Game of Thrones, would you recommend them to me?
@SunrunnerSioned1013 I would recommend Melanie Rawn's books to you, but I've only actually read the three that I own, and unfortunately they're not a complete series, just bits and pieces of a story. But they were one of my earliest Fantasy novels and I enjoy them. Now Game of Thrones (more specificially the Song of Fire and Ice series) is fairly intricate and is pretty good. I liked them alot. I just hope George R.R. Martin can start finishing the series faster.
