The only thing I can think of with the M16 is to put rapid fire and red dot on it, with the two attachments proficiency. From what I've heard, rapid fire reduces the time between bursts. I'm not entirely sure because I don't use burst weapons all that much. But since the M16 doesn't get one burst kills that often, having the two bursts come out quicker could help a lot.

I use the M16 all the time. I treat it like a long range pistol. I anticipate it'll take at least 3 bursts to kill someone so I just rapid fire the bursts. Within shotgun range I just hipfire. There's my 2cents on the gun.
