I've played this song in literally hundreds of venues and have always used it as a way to point to a big problem with churches in a non-threatening way. I've never had anyone take it as a serious song yet so I hope no one will in the future, but i think it does address a serious issue in a humorous way. I love the song, really love it. I am not a church going individual due to personal beliefs, I show what I personally believe through my daily actions. I am not, however, ignorant enough to believe that there is not a higher power. That power may take a spiritual form or an extra-terrestrial form (not in the crazy person way). My only problem with this song is that the less intelligent, religiously-aggressive people would take this literally. I have seen the comment section on a video about a c
