i did that many time ago....i used Mach3 , but I removed the original card, I threw in the trash , and put 2 axis cnc card , now i use only DSP card , see my 3050 machine video running with dsp card.
How much does such a laser cost? :p Just a question, but I like it :p And how precise can it 'laser' paper? And what should be the quality of the paper?
hey, this is the smaller machine i have, it cost about $1600, about precision it can make a 0,15mm cut in paper, can cut any kind of paper, wood or acrylic till 4mm thickness, leather, fabric... i have big laser machines too , to cut till 20mm wood..
I will buy CNC TB6560 controller board (search ebay)
What about Z laser controlling ???

Great modification.
Few questions
1.I have simmilar laser engraver, controlling by MoshiDraw (crappy software).
I dont have option for laser cutting. Also,my engraving speed is very very slow < 200mm/s.
I want to buy new controller board, can i use this one
also, do i need to change stepper motors (i want faster engraving) ???
also, what software do i need to use for engraving (since mach3 only use vector cutting) ?
