I have just got into Torchwood having just watched the COE 5 part series.

Now I am a bit confused about this SL here on this vid clip. The gorgeous man (matt ripley) is also called jack harkness which means that john barrowman's jack harkness is in love with himself?!?!

PLEASE can someone explain this for me

Okay. Matt Ripley plays the REAL Jack Harkness, who is meant to die the next day. John Barrowman's character comes in and takes his identity. He never met the real Harkness, until he and Tosh get sucked into the past. It's a sad ep, because Jack has to let the real Jack die, or he risks rewriting history.

I think so, I think even after he took the name he was a con man, because in the first ep of doctor who he was in, he was using that medical ship in a scam against someone else. I think he told them it was some kind of weapon.
