  • If I download it from the App Store, is Mainstage 2 included?

  • subbed, this really helped

  • ableton or logic pro which to get? isn't logic pro enough do you HAVE OT HAVE the add ons?

where can i get most for my money .. where to buy logic pro get best price?

  • @TheRogueMonk I'm using ableton light right now .. I'm interested in VSTs from native instruments like massive and razor so for that i want to get logic instead of upgrading my ableton lite. ableton is more complex in my opinion but you do get session view wich is a FANTASTIC feature. every DAW will have the same outcome . it just depends on your workflow and opinion on the features. logic is better for your money (in my opinion I'm far from an expert) simple and effective i would go with logic

  • You did a fantastic job explaining this. This video got rid of any questions i had about logic. THANKS!!!

  • Great videos man! thanks a lot.

  • im trying to decide between pro logic 9 and pro tools 9 is there really any difference sound quality wise? cause all i care about is the quality.

  • @ganjaking187 im in the sam esituation you were in about trying to decide logic or pro tools what did you decide

  • @petermarronmusic right now im using cubase on a macbook pro and im very satisfied, maybe later ill try pro logic 9 but im pretty content with cubase.

  • i plan to record guitars and bass make songs with drums and vocals, dub step progressive house, I've used fl studio as a kind of introduction to DAW software for about a year , learning different things, Would Logic Studio be worth it, as i am still getting used to using parameters and effects and stuff but i plan on putting real time and effort into learning how to use it ?

  • @kyleshut Logic is awesome. I used FL first too. FL doesnt support 64-bit plug-ins yet either..... I just love Logics quality

  • Does Mac book pro 13'' i7 version suite for logic studio?

I want to transfor pc to mac.

but i don't know about mac.

    i produce trance music. usually use about 10 VSTi(like FM8, Massive, sylenth 1, kontakt 4, absynth 5) & Virus Ti2 & 25 MIDI track & 10 audio track & use about 2 reverb, 4 delay, some 8EQ, 6 transient design plugins.

  • @hitmusicplant Yes...as long as you don't mind a smaller screen.

  • @I3eatClub We get that a lot - its actually a sample from a pretty cool sample CD Twisted Reallity I believe - I guess they liked it too.

  • i'm looking to getting studio software. which do you recommend: ableton live, pro tools, fruity loops, or logic?

  • I got into Logic Studio 8 in my college courses and since 2008, Logic Studio 8 Academic is all I've ever had. I realize now getting into music for video games, I'm going to have to get the full retail version if I want to make any money on my music, correct? Aren't there legal reasons?

  • @pabalino2008 i believe thats what mainstage is for i would think logic can do that, it was able to in logic 8 via midi cable etc

  • @pabalino2008 i believe thats what mainstage is for i would think logic can do that, it was able to in logic 8

  • great video thanks!

  • i wish they release it for windows :(

cant turn my pc into a mac error after error :@:@

  • Go to groove3 (dot) com >for DVD tutorials.

  • can i used native instruments massive with this program?

  • I'd hardly say making exs patches out of regions or parts on the arrange was a nightmare. Open EXS24 on unused track> edit > new zone > drag the object from the arrange into the page above the keyboard at the bottom of the exs window. Set range of the sample up and down the keyboard, set it to 1 shot or not and save. Doesnt take more than 2 minutes lol. But that new feature is definetly very useful, looking forward to upgrading to 9!

  • awesome thanks!

  • I am going to get logic.. ive used ableton live reason 4.0 mpc 1000, What re some good vsts for strings? Or does logic have some good ones.

  • Does Logic pro come with mac laptops???

  • @SolidRecordz NO But garage Band

  • @SolidRecordz Funny.

  • this or pro tools (for mac) for recording metal, rock?

  • @ilovesabian1n1

Its for recording whatever you want to record.

  • I am getting logic studio and a new imac next week. I am supper pumped!

  • cubase or logic?

    just a question

  • @wolfman109h been using logic for just one year but quite happy with it. hip hop, rnb, techno, dance. its really great. if u use a lot of midi, go for logic. if live recording, go straight to pro tools. cubase, never tried. these r my two DAW that perfect for me.

  • thanks a lot. awesome

  • does logic have a sequencer like FL Studio?

  • @aquaman360 hell yea

  • Comparing FL and Logic is extremely dumb. They are different in many aspects. Try to drop a beat, even a complex one, without any template in the two DAWs, while you will still be choosing your sounds on Logic, it will be already finished in FL, it's one of the quickest DAWs when it comes to instant composing, when you have sudden ideas Live is also good at that. They are more suited for "electronic music" if i can use this shortcut, Logic is an all-rounder and better for rec. edit. and mixing.

  • OMG!!! SO AWESOME

  • FL Sucks big hairy balls, pretty big ones too !

  • does logic studio have all the sounds in it or do i have 2 buy sounds???

  • @young21able

Theres a bunch of sounds but you should be making them yourself

  • Apple Mac's have this program ..

  • its great to have someone that is familiar with not only the software, but also music. a lot of ppl do reviews on this stuff nd hav no experience what so ever!?

  • This was an excellent review! Thank you for putting the work in to share with us!

  • Introduction tune has Radiohead in it.

  • great review. thanks a lot

  • PODDYMAN2010

I use to work some music with Fruity Loops (midi based) and I work with Logic now for year and a half and believe me..... it's like comparing TOY and a real RECORDING / EDITING / ARRANGING / MIXING /PROFESSIONAL SOUNDING software.

Of course Logic Studio is that second one :-)

  • did you use pro tools or do you know

anything about it ? thank you for replying

  • which one is better for music production ?

    fl studio or logic pro

    i wanna know everybody's opinion

  • logic

  • is it the best compared to digidesign pro tools or the other software for professional music production ? thx for the reply :)

  • Fl studio is only good for drum patterns br. logic overal

  • I use fl studio in music production because i use vsts and i don't record vocals, but i guess logic will be my main program when it comes to pro recording and editing

  • most ppl tell that FL Studio is like a toy but believe me or on I use it for almost 7 years now and I cant say that it is a toy because it can do almost everything you want , but the only weakness is the lack of Disk srtreaming for recording and tracklanes like Logic . so imo if you are a dance producer or hobiest type pro I say try FL Studio , but if you are more on recodings and hardware stuffs Logic pro , they have their own weakness . so it diffends on your skills and style good luck

  • this vid is very awsome!

how r you so good at manipulating the program..?? i been looking for classes and books. any recommandation?? tnks

  • Funny enough Reaper has all these features and more so checkmate Logic....

  • OK...Sonicstate....A quick review on your tutorial. Excellent presentation, clear & concise, relevant information to a range of pertaining Logic users and is very professional. I am looking forward to tuning in to more of your tutorials 9.5/10

Hoping you can cover a tutorial on vocal effects...Rgds, Dan.

  • O SHIT HES IN THE COMPUTER LOL HAHA

  • To the person asking about dictaphone recordings - sorry I hit remove instead of reply - there are a load of plugins with Logic that would help you enhance/restore recordings. So yes, it should work. But remember its Mac OS X only since version 5.0 - we are now at 9

  • @sonicstate

so are you now happy that only mac user can avail the later logic?

  • This guy is a great

  • Propellerheads new Record program, you can just change the tempo and the song slows down or speeds up with absolutely no change in the sound of the instruments at all.

  • @drumhyper2

Pro Tools had that for a long time with 7.4 and elastic audio.

  • well done Nicky Poos

  • Great videos! Keep up the good work =)

  • thanks
