Sometimes old folks are lonely and just wanna talk, which is why Sal and Richard target them so often. So, if you really, REALLY, stretch things, you can say that Sal and Richard are providing a social service for the elderly that just happens to be entertaining to us as well. Most people ignore the elderly but not those two. Now, doesn't that make you feel better?

@danielkirk1 Richard is actually starting to do his own thing, before he started working for Stern he was one of the best drummers in the world. He played drums in a death metal band called "Death". He got back into it recently and joined a new band and is on tour with them right now. Besides that him and Sal are planning some type of show on thier own after Hward retires, which I'm sure will be way more funny than Howard's show is right now.

I really don't get Howard's logic. All these "rejected bits" that he played were 100x times more entertaining than Howard bitching and moaning about bed bugs but no no, the bed bugs is good radio, no need to point that out to anybody. About 95% of what Howard says and does these days is unfunny, not Sal & Richard. Sal & Richard are fine, it's Howard that needs to be called out on.

Sal & Richard ARE funny. Howard fails to realize that his show and his "good radio" is becoming stale and quite frankly he needs to leave come December. Sal & Richard have contributed a lot of good material to the show and most likely they are very hard and dedicated workers. For crying out loud, both of them replaced Stuttering John and thats enough for me to like them. All this ratting on Sal & Richard was a bit, and just another reason why the show ITSELF has become un-listenable.

I thought they kinda had something with Artie, but even he was hit or miss and there was a "wtf" factor to him being on the show...I mean he couldn't have less in common with anyone there, especially Howard.
