Maybe it's just the old San Diego indie kid in me, but my friend just showed me this the other day and the chorus, chords and song structure remind me a lot of a more poppy, polished version of Rob Crow's (Heavy Vegetable/Thingy/Pinback/etc.) sound. Kinda put off by his voice at first, but now they're growing on me, this song especially.

Awesome Mew video I first saw on MTV Europe while in Holland when Dad played a show there. It was a "breakout" video played on rotation every hour however MTV Europe was bad about revealing the name of the band. Jon watched for the name of the band and when they finally displayed Mew he remembered. When we arrived back in Dallas my brother Shawn bought me the cd for me for Christmas. What a surprise! LOVE this video!
