As Tony stated this plane is not for beginners or intermediate fliers that have not flown fast planes. I used two strips of velcro, one at the front and the other at the rear to hold the canopy on and have experienced no problems. The jet has a six blade fan unit, mine is very quiet under full power. Keep the speed up on the turns or it will really drop its nose. The plane is fairly durable and easily repaired.
damn, that first jet (small alpha) "rips!!!" lol! yup. i'd say the manufacturer didn't lie. looks like 95+ to me... however, thing zips by Sooo Fast, and it's movements are so "uncharacteristic" of how a real one would handle, i'd prefer a "heavier, slower" Model, such as the 70 mm one, or even larger. also it just is more realistic to have to "land" the aircraft, with a Real Landing gear, and on pavement. the first one is just more like a very fast, Styrofoam Toy.
Nice review, Tony. I like that you're genuinely having fun flying the plane. (and it DOES look like a cool plane - I'm gonna search for the price.) Never thought I'd consider a belly-lander, but it looks fine, and REALLY cuts down the rollout duration. Good job all around!
I just flew this plane first time 2day. Im 14 and its about the high end of my skill level- Not for beginners like he said! I had the same problem with the canopy it happened mid-flight and i spent ages looking for it. Very good plane
I bet if you altered the engine-to-turbine ratio of that plane enough, you could get it to go 2 or even 3 times faster with lower RPM's, but the handling would be ultra-brutal; imagine a 64mm foam plane trying to turn at 200mph. It would most likely break apart, but the flight time would be fun and challenging.
It would be cool to put a micro video camera with a transmitter in the cockpit, along with a 5-mile signal booster, so you don't have to be so quick to turn it around. You should try it, then post a review with the video footage captured.
@ESECK13 just that simple hey? whats better for range, 2.4ghz or less? iv seen some comments that 2.4 gets a whole lot of interference at times which would be baaaad news 1km from home
im thinking of making a FPV plane, but i want a long flight time.. what can i do to increase flight time on an electric aircraft? add battery? different motor? battery would add a lot of weight.. any suggestions guys?
yet another great review Tony. and thank you to the editors for toning down the volume of the outro music. it used to blare compared to the rest of the video
I need new TX batteries for an older JR Radio The 9.6v with the 9 volt connector right on the end of the battery. Do you have them? If so how much? Thanks. One of these days I am going to buy a plane from you. I am looking at the F4 with retracts.
Man that is fast but it didn't look to me as if it was going as fast as you say it was (90 mph) but the video could be deceiving ;-) shame about the paint job though ;-( nothing a little foam safe paint cant sort out ;-) thumbs up yet again.
Wow, I'm usually the skeptical one....but this plane looks nice. Any chance of getting a PnP version? (no battery, no rx, no tx) Give me a PnP for $125 and I'm in.
Wow! That was some crazy speed and flying!!

Nice plane! Its nose looks a lot like an Aermacchi S211's, but the rest does look like an alpha jet.
