the cartoon "Clerks" was a watered-down, TV friendly animated series that was only 6 episodes long. All of the primary characters (Jay, Bob, Randal, Dante) were all voiced by the original actors and failed miserably due to poor marketing. They had a horrible time slot, they were on ABC (which was an automatic failure) and the timespot that they WERE in, had very stiff competition from NBC. The show was not promoted worth a damn and went down in flames. It's a shame too. It was a good show.

That was actually an audio clip taken from the first episode of the animated series. When Dante said "...before I call the cops", he was actually talking about Jay and Silent Bob's fireworks. The "music" in that scene was also taken from the first episode.
