@DeikunZeon This was before sauron had regained his power and was calling to the ring to get it back. the ring itself has a kind of sentience and tries to return to sauron by trying to make them give up the ring to sauron or his servents. so it was kind of more dorment here i think

It just shows what a proud and haughty attitude does for/to one. It makes one careless and a showoff! He had ONE weak point which was discovered by one,and told to another who passed on that advice to one who was able to fell that great dragon who WAS Smaug . .

plus it was animated in japan so I think they tried to make him a mixture of asian and european dragons.
