Traxxas is an ok product if you ask me. The parts on them break very easy. I would go with a

the summit is still such a boss of a car compared to the emaxx- the clearance on it from the tires, the power and t-lock diffs, the amazing shock travel shown at 1:25 and the size of the thing-- the emaxx can hit better speeds but thats about it

i own an emaxx and love it, but the summit is its big brother

its all about wheels and weighting. the stock tires on the summit arent very good. put some weight on that bitch and change the tires and it climbs like a champ.

@ammar1234ish The skid plate is from Integy, but I really do not recommend it. It is too soft and it bends very easy. Of course, they produce various aluminum skid plates and perhaps they have come up with some better ones over the years. You have to check their site.

@chimeracrusher He was matching it to the E Maxx. The E Maxx doesn't have locking diffs. So if he takes out the locked diff on the Summit it will be fair for both trucks.

@slashbasher96 But as you can see in the video later on, I exchange tires and Summit finally climbs the ramp with ease. I am also about to upload a new video (after almost a year!!!) with just Summit trying to climb a similar ramp with different tires, so that we can extract some results from the outcome.

The summits tires are intened for dirt mud rocks and so one the summit almost always get out done on flooring

Maybe the tires on the summit should have been broken in on pavement to wear off the slick film from the manufactering process and this might have given more traction.

Very very surprising, and disappointing.  Are the Summit tires not more sticky and flexible than the Emaxx's? I put a set of Summit tires on my 3906 and thought it helped but I haven't tested it directly against my 3905 with stock Emaxx tires on it. HMMMM.

like the emaxx but the integy front skid plate will get messed up easily. its fine to have it ,but RPM makes a skidplate protecter that works great.

I think the summit is the better truck than the emaxx. But the emaxx tyers are better than the tyers from the summit.

E-maxx is good for everything!! Summit is kind'a too innovative and too expensive...

It isn't a rock-crawler really (it rock crawls good but it is not the type of the truck) aND not a real basher(toooooo slow)

I totally agree... It belongs somewhere in the middle of these two categories, not performing as good as expected in neither category. I suppose you have to make a choice of usage and try to impove it accordingly... I will try to upload some more videos, showing exactly what we both feel about that truck. E-Maxx is amazing and it doesn't stop to amaze me more and more with what it can achieve!!! This truck should be characterized as unstopable...!!!!!
