devean3 Im merely a normal 5'8 chinese dude and I can dunk on a daily basic. Everybody can dunk too, just follow the right training course. I followed the one at "50-inch-vertical(dot)com" though any kind of training plan is good if they work which many however do not
@ChristineCAlb, Schonz first used the term in a game against the Lakers in the first season ('70-'71) to describe a long shot by a Blazer that went in. I'd also heard that "Rip" was the sound Schonz heard when a shot hit nothing but net. "Rip City" followed because it sounds good together.
It was 30 years ago, but Championships are Forever.
Regardless of whether they ever win another title, I'm lucky to be a Blazer fan.... because I experienced that 1977 team, truly one of the most special pro sports teams ever.
Rip City lives again. Man, that was a great Sunday. To be 16 yrs old, and to witness a championship in Portland, of all places. Great upload, thanks man!
