  • i don't understand, picard can go anywhere from the nexus, why doesn he just go back to went they first picked up soron and just throwhim in a cell, and go stop the deviaces. it saves the enterprise D and 2 solar systems..... derp picard

  • @Rawr4war check out the other alternate ending: watch?v=r_5h0BRO5O4

  • @Rawr4war Is this the movie where his whole family dies? Why not go back far enough to save them?

  • Wait, where's Data saying "Yes!"?

  • Now this ending almost makes perfect sense... until you realise there's no way Picard could have activated that thing on his own. Didn't Soran have some sort of remote control device to activate everything to begin with? If not, presumably he'd have put in some sort of password or security mechanism to activate it and prevent tampering, so only he could use it.

  • Proof that Picard wasn't nearly as clever as he could have been.

  • Paradox

  • @LivesForJihad they beamed la forge back when they beamed Picard over to they Klingons, who then beamed him down to the surface. Remember the sequence in sickbay and engineering when duras was spying through his VISOR.

  • @holodock nope, once you willing leave the nexus, you're gone completely. And ST'09 was a wack continuation of trek. It's a good thing they didn't just cut trek all round, but they shoul have let berman keepit.

  • @sporekid2012 but that would make it worse. It's better to go down in the line of duty than to be dry-docked. Think of the original enterprises demise compared to the A's end. It shows that it didn't have to end. After all, galaxy class was still top of the line. The E would of ended up elsewhere

  • I wish that the Enterprise D was not destroyed they should have ended the movie with the Enterprise still intact and still fully functional and just had it decomissioned instead of the gay ass klingons blowing it up it deserved better!!!!

  • @sporekid2012 that's right! The Enterprise D was one of the most beautiful starships ever!

  • @sporekid2012

They wouldn't even have to decommission it. The Galaxy-class ships were supposed to be good for a hundred years of service. The Enterprise-D had a little over seven years of service up to that point. =3

  • Seriously, if Picard was thinking he would have cut all the bullshit with Soran.

  • What's that Galaxy class warpout from? I know I've seen it before.

  • @ValorUnlimited Deep Space 9 I think.

  • 4 people jerk off to the Duras sisters

  • I prefer this ending because the Enterprise-D is still "alive".

  • Lol, Kirk gets bottom billing.

  • @Naxwell and gets buried under rocks... poor Kirk.

  • @TheCatholicBoat (whistle) 'Bridge on the captain'.

  • "you can be anywhere anytime" "I know exactly where to go" Picard appears in a hot top full of naked women

  • He Shot The Missile At The Damn Klingons.

  • And the ship doesn't crash, Kirk gets to have ribbon orgasms for the rest of eternity, and Picard starts his movies looking way smarter instead of "I can't do it without Kirk." This one was smarter instead of funny, love it.

  • I guess they're still working on the Alt. Ending where Picard emerges from the Nexus and goes back to Woodstock 99' where he started a 3000man drunken riot.

  • HAHA this makes me laugh.

  • One small problem, Geordi was still on board! Picard, you murderer! lol

  • cool!

  • The only problem with this approach is that the Klingon Bird of Pray was cloacked so there was no way for Picard to target it :) As for this movie's ending, all of the ST 2009 movie haters should now ask themselves if the events in this movie were not the first actual big diversion from the original timeline? Where did Picard actually go from Nexus or is he perhaps still trapped inside the Nexus believing that he made a difference outside although perhaps he only saved Veridian inside Nexus? :)

  • @holodock

he used the same method as the Undescovered Country to hit the cloaked ship.

    :)

  • The whole Nexus thing in general sucked and was a bad idea they even bash it themselves in the directors commentary... you know it's bad when they bash there own movie.

  • Brilliant! Well done, sir!

  • How come I never thought of that before? That's a really good point! Then Kirk could have avoided having a horribly written end.

  • Epic!

  • Lol, this is my fav alt-ending so far just for having a shot of the Enterprise-D in it X) But the rest was great too

  • Picard could have gone back in time to earth and saved his nephew and sent kirk to go back in time to save sorans family from the borg. Two problems completely solved. But picard seemed to have forgot about the nephew he was so concerned about.

  • perfect ending :D

  • This is brilliant. I mean I never understood why Picard needed Kirk anyway. Why not just summon some other rational deus ex machina from your deus ex machina?!

  • Why does everyone use the term Deus ex machina now? :P

  • @RaptureFilmz Because it sounds cool

  • I first heard of it thanks to the last episode of BSG.

  • Deus ex machina is not a new phrase nor a new concept for that matter, especially when it comes to film, plays, and TV plots. It's probably one of the first plot devices you are introduced to in any introductory film class.

I never liked the ending of this movie though, Picard could have gone back a week before the movie started, called his brother and warn him about the fire, then go blow up Soren's research lab - and he could have brought video files to convince his crew he wasn't crazy.

  • no where near as good as rambo coming back with picard and kickin sorans ass

  • Oh great now Geordi's dead and there are two Picards in the Universe

  • Geordi isn't dead since he wasn't kidnapped by Soran yet.

and there is only one picard because apparently he goes back in time into his own body, just like in the real ending where he goes back to the planet where he already was and there's just 1 of him

  • Yeah that makes sense, Good video by the way.

  • @GeneralGrin No..he was captured at that point.

    If you think about it:

Picard went back in time to before Soran got to Virdian. Geordie was on that BoP when it exploded because the exchange had never been made...Geordie is dead...

  • @LivesForJihad Who knows? Maybe the Feds beamed Geordi aboard when the Klingons weren't looking.

  • @GeneralGrin Yeah, maybe this was at a point just before moving to the Armagossa system or however it's spelled.

  • I am not as much irked by the fact he killed Geordi as I am by the fact he suddenly changed to an old uniform and his old commbadge again. xD;

  • Well, they seemed to be using *both* varieties of the uniform in Generations, anyway.

  • Klingons getting destroyed by a ground-to-air missile LOL!!!!

  • not bad at ALL. and yea i agree with notjames1.....poor geordi LMAO

  • Haha, Good one. Kirk lives!!!!

  • Poor Geordi

  • Yep...that should have happened.

  • That just filled a little hole in my heart... or maybe it was just the whole plot hole feeling being lifted. :-P Great video.

  • lol but Geordi dies :/

  • @shedininja001 Pfft, Geordi barely had any lines in the next three movies. If anything, Picard did him a favor!
