  • does the rmt one have any sounds

  • @LionelTrainsForever

The RMT units have no bells, whistles etc. They do have directional lighting. Very simple units, but extremely nice runners.

  • The PRR RDC has a yellow flasher that's reminiscent of Reading's RDC's which also had them. See the video "R&N Early years 2" and click to 8:21 to see ex-Reading RDC's in their 1970's appearance with their flashing yellow lights working.

  • Not to be rude but the train of Budd's you also had coupled to those freight cars, Budd's warranty was if you coupled anything else to a real Budd RDC ( except another RDC)your warranty would expire, now i know this is a fictional railway but i was just curious.

  • Amazing how that works. I've had that Marx BUDD for years, always perfect until the camera came on.

The current form of the layout is a U. 19' on one leg, 12' at the base and 12' for the other leg. The main outer loop is all 54" curves, the inner main is all 42". The small loop by the carnival is 42" at one end and 34" at the other.

  • Looks like the toy train gremlins were working overtime on the Marx unit! How big is your railroad and what size curves do you have?
