Nothing wrong with a small body lift, one to two inch body lifts are usually barely noticeable. Plus, with a body lift you may be able to clear just that slightly bigger tire without having to spend a fortune to go a bit higher in the suspension. Plus, with going higher in the suspension you can start running into stress on u-joints due to extreme drive line angles. I'm not saying do body lift first, suspension lift should always come first, but nothing wrong with a little bit of body.
@chevboy427 how do you figure they keep the center of gravity lower, does the body not weigh anything?! cutting the fenders and stuffing tires is the only way to keep the c.o.g low. any type of lift is going to increase your center of gravitiy cause your raising the weight higher, body or suspension lift.
im gonna be totally honest with you. higher gears get through mud better then lower. the guy with the 410s would get through more becasue he couldnt get the tires spining to dig him self down. now i have 44s and my buddys got the exact same set up but 410s on 44s. i have 513s. he would walk though holes i would sink in
girly meaning billy talent is super lame... put somthing tuff on your video! Pantera or sumthing that makes you wanna go tear it up.. PLEASE! otherwise cool pictures
im getting my dads 79 3/4 ton seirra classic but i wanna put 44'tsl's on it but its a 2 wheel drive what kinda front do i need to buy to make it a 4 wheel drive ?
You need to cut off all the front suspension components on the frame, and make leaf spring mounts and weld them to the frame, and make/buy shackles. Then you need a front axle- passenger side Dana 44, Dana 60, or a 10 bolt. Then you need to buy a transfercase and possibly a new transmission, depending on how your shit is set up... It would be easiest to just buy a 4x4 truck and start from there.
Yeah, those full floating 14 bolts are strong as Hell... I was responding to someone who was asking what he needed to do to convert his 2WD truck to 4WD. Nice truck, though.

How much difference is there between these trucks. as in pulling power and torque cause of the gears
muddawg6000 1 year ago
@muddawg6000

steveandant 1 year ago
@steveandant Ya but for the higher gears you need more power and more trans,
If your got the power and a trans that will handle it.......410s would rip ass,
Most people normally only change the ratio cause its the cheapest way to get them roosters slingin
