You go try to make 45mil fresh turkeys ready for eating on thanksgiving by going slow and "humane" and ill be with you on boycotting butterball. I have just watched so many of these videos right now. They are a wide array of animal types and companies. good job official PETA people need to know whats going on if more videos like this get attention on facebook maybe regulations one day will be in place. The animal 'gives' its life for food and this is how we respect its sacrifice. I believe in eating meat but I dont believe in cruel, unforgive and horrible abuse to the animalshumans farm. Animal farms also dilute wild genetics if they escape not so much a bird farm but fur farms of animals such as martens and mink.

i dont know about not eating meat but this video is sick. There should be regulations in place to protect these animals wellfare. Meat is a standard part of a human diet and i enjoy it but i think its cruel and unusual to treat the animals 'food' like they do. They're in the farm to be killed they are bred to be eaten but no animal should have to go through torture and torment before its demise and from the sounds of it there is lots of waste and there's no need to waste animals

thats great,

when i first considered being vegan it was super hard so i just first began not eating meat and then i became vegan slowy. it helped me really much starting out vegitarian instead of just jumping in to being vegan right away.

Slight problem: birds bruise really easily aka you have to be gentle with them otherwise you are not going to end up with a sellable product. For butterball to make money, they can't have employees acting this way... unless there employees are a part of peta who are intentionally abusing these animals for the sake of enraging those who watch it?

The fact that the animals are cramped together and hung by their feet doesnt bother me so much (Keep in kind that I view this video with an agricultural view as well as an animal lover.) not only that, but the line speeds move so fast that the workers don't even have time to think, let alone properly stun/kill the birds before the rest of the slaughter procedure takes place. these workers are so frustrated at their bosses and supervisers that rather than murder a human they take it out on the animals. they develop serious drinking problems, anger issues, they beat their wives and children, and are forced to work with work related injuries so bad that some even lose limbs.

don't blame the workers, they are under so much pressure, and most of them are immigrants from mexico who love the wage they get compared to the 3 dollar wage in mexico. conditions in the slaughterhouses are so terrible, for both human and animal. the workers can't complain or they lose their jobs. it is the USA'S head of the department of U S Drug Assoiation (USDA) who is to blame for this inhumane and unnecessary treatment of animals!  read more in Gail A.
