i think it doesn't matter that you don't have a record deal. you should just do everything on your own because a record label would probably "steal your soul" in the songs. cuz maybe then you have to sing stupid uptempos that don't refer to any emotion. stay just the way you are...your voice is special in its own way and your songs are so amazing =)
