  • what´s your set up for this machine good work

  • Nice setup! How large is your monitor and how far away is your control panel? I will be starting my cabinet soon and am going to try to use a 60" plasma mounted to the cab, so that I can move it, if necessary.

    Thanks!

  • Are you using 2 LED Wiz boards? One board only has 32 outputs so it looks like you have to be running 2 unless you ran multi buttons on the same output (meaning all buttons on a single output would be the same color and not independent).

If you have 2 boards, how did you connect them (both usb to the computer?) What program runs more than one board?

  • @wildrebel2478 Only using 1 32 board. Some things are doubled up, such as player 1 and the 4 way controllers, and the 3 mouse above the trackball, and trigger buttons on the stick. and the 4 way on stick itself.

  • @EQDruid Can you elaborate?

    1) Is every button/joystick/trackball an RGB led or are some designated as a single color?

    2) Can you list out your LED groupings in detail?

ex: player 1: 1 joystick + 6 buttons + 2 system [coin/1player] is first LED circuit (if RGB then = 3 outputs on LED Wiz)

    3) How easy is it to program the LED controls, can you set it to only light up the appropriate controls?

Sorry for the detailed request but I am planning a build myself. Thanks for your help!

  • DUDE....

  • What is the controller sitting on top of? A desk? Trying to figure out if I can set mine on a desk or need to build a mount.

  • That theme & front end is freakin' awesome..

  • just curious what is the price you paid for this system

  • @eyezerocool I built it... Only cost me the price of the control panel from Mameroom.com and alot of late nights.

  • This has actually inspired me to go for a cabinet-less system in my future game room; the controller board alone makes for a nice centerpiece. As cool as an arcade cabinet can be, it would restrict the size of the television/monitor considerably. Thank you for showing us your inspirational set-up.

  • I can't seem to find the round joysticks. I have the older slikstik quad. Looks similar to yours without the pretty lights and control panel shineys.

  • i have a question. in the video, you have that big conttroller thing hooked up to a tv. i looked on mameroom and didnt see how to do that. how did u do that?

  • @shinchan123450 it's hooked up via a PC, that controls the the Control Panel, and the TV.

  • @EQDruid oh, that makes sence. Thanks!

  • What theme from hyperspin did you use for MAME LOOKS awesome.

  • odd choice for a display. none of those games were made for a widescreen(at least not in that orientation.) or high definition. wouldn't they look better on a CRT monitor? the 27" wellsgardner 9800 was the holy grail for arcading.

i do like the hyperspin front end. i wish i found out about it before i plunked down money for maximus arcade.

  • thanks a lot for sharing your arcade machine and give us some useful information !!!!

  • I used mame years ago and played tons of roms. Tried downloading it again (new versions) and nothing works anymore. Any ideas where i can get all the roms and good versions of mame that still play all the roms. ex. pacman, digdug, blah blah blah.... hope you can help. thanks

    badass setup btw. im jealous

  • Can I ask the specs of the computer to run it? cheers.

  • where do u get the theme and wheel packs i cant find them

  • how much it cost

  • where do i download the mame pack?

  • I honestly want to know where you work to be able to afford all of that.

  • SICK!

  • How much did this project cost and what do u do for a living. U have a lot of nice stuff.

  • damn nice dude didt knew u had 3D by now :)

gonna buy a new HDD for my cabinet soon so i will have all movies and everything on it :) and searching the forum of hyperspin about some pinball emulator ( VP etc )

sweet any way once again :) cu on hyperspin :)

  • Almost bought showcase cab from northcoast, but I am definitely leaning towards your setup with the flatscreen wall mounted. Did u go with their computer setup or install your own? Also, did the buildup of the cab minus their lighted marquee and screen cut back on cost? Any help would be appreciated, it appears you would be the man to ask.

  • Are you using the control panel stand from Mameroom too? I can't find any pictures of the stand in action, and I can't tell if you are using it or not. Thanks!

  • that is full of win :D

i really want that arcade controller :(

  • Very nice Cabinet !!

  • Que maquina XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD, haceme una igual porfa, o vendemela .........

  • That must be one hell of a computer to be running all that.

Can you say "overload"! Thats the only machine you will ever need.

  • God, they even had to F*** youtube up, can't watch the video, but that looks sweet!!!

  • wicked set up dude, very impressive. lm in the market to do something like this. do you have a link or could you send me the info of how you went about all of this? games programs ect... where to get them from. or did someone do it all for you. l would really appreciate the help...cheers

  • same tv

  • un-fuckin-believable.... BIG respect!

  • Too many buttons! :O

Everytime the same with that Amis.

  • Gave me an erection.

  • It's already been said. But Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL setup!!!!! DAYUM!!! U should get a cab & cocktail table 4 the retro effect. After all...isn't the point of the M.A.M.E. project to relive the arcade glory years in all it's authenticity? But ur setup is soweeeeet none the less.

  • That's freakin awesome!

  • Hey can this front end manage the ps3 or xbox 360??

or any externally attached console for that matter...

  • hey man the set up is great but do you run your original games as roms and do you have a light gun yet?

  • @jstutman illegal? I think not. been collecting systems and games over 30 years.

  • @EQDruid lol, you only have to download the MAME 0.138 pack, and you will have 30 000 games.

  • @PKR2010 already have over 41k....

  • @EQDruid 0.138u2 just released hehe :-)

  • @PKR2010 And I was testing 2 weeks ago.. =)

  • @EQDruid thats nice!! Thx you and good luck!!

  • @PKR2010 MAME has over 4,000 games not anywhere near 30,000.

  • Ur a FUCKIN ASS!!!

  • First off... AMAZING. Holy hell! Secondly? Do you think you could if at all possible, send me the links to where you found everything, including the .dat files for your emulators along with XML files. And possibly the torrent / websites you got the samples / roms / hyperspin themes? Overall... Pretty much everything. Haha. I would be GREATLY GREATLY appreciated! Feel free to message me!

  • sweet stup...can you briefly explain how to setup roms/emulators with this fe? i'm wanting to put this on my cab i building but can't find a tut or anyone to explain... please help!!

  • how do you have over 37,000 games!? is that like collected between mame and all the other consoles cause i'm only able to find about 8,500 for mame.

  • @mej13 every game from Pong to Wii....

  • dude, truely thats a dream set up !

how much for that , a ballpark figure ?

whats the front end software for that ?

can you get just the front end software ?

  • so awesome

  • Beautiful system dude! :)

  • @garrie1969 the Control Board, 2,000

  • That's my dream set-up. All you need is some 3D pulfrich glasses for 2D games. Trust me.

  • AHAHAHAHH 3D i love it man

  • Man, I'll never have anything like this in a million years...

  • ok i will check the setting for stretching the picture quality, my tv isnt that nice so not going as high as 720p lol.. One other question do you happen to notice loss of quality the more you stretch it ..

P.S ... i agree you do have the badest system thats for sure

  • It all depends on your setup... Differnt TV's/screens. Differnt systems. ect. Its hard to say, All I can sudjest is to play with it, till it works for you.

    Good Luck =)

  • Epic man.......just epic. Your set up blows my X-Arcade tank stick outta of the frickin' water.

  • i have a question, i use mam32 emulator and have download some roms from diff websites after googled them. my question is when i play the games seems like the video quality is pretty low like video resolution is generally like 640x480 obviously since you have a plasma attached you must be playing the games a very high res. is that you emulator or is that the game itself ?

  • the emulator Mame has a setting where you can stretch the quality. Also running the TV at 720P resolution.

  • hey...i am terrible with computers,is there anyone who sells multiple hard drives that come with all 39,000 games, hyperspin and hyperpin in a plug and play formate???i am almost dont building the cabinet!

  • No, you will never find anyone "Selling" there collections... Its Illegal, and Not supported here...

  • how much did the stick cost with all extra's

    Thanks

  • is that front end have instructions for use i cant figure out how to use it

  • can we see gameplay of the 3do emulator and what is the cabinets pc specs

  • Check out my other videos, this has been updated along time ago =)

Updated computer spec's Duel core 4.2 ghtz, 8 TB hard drive system raided.

    295 video card

6 gig ram and currently running Win 7

  • jeez that a "Uber" PC!! Dual core in my opinion is better than quad in some circumstances.brilliant video by the way.I have mame 1.26 with only 150 roms, they are all great classics, ive tried front ends but just can't get them working or attached to mame properly.I am newbie at all this yes.

  • wow

  • damn..I thought my mame cab was impressive....mine took two years and a few thousand to build....but this is like the holy grail of cabs!!

    Great work man!!

  • You've inspired me to do something like this, albeit on a smaller scale and budget.

  • can you show off the 3do emulator

  • sweet

  • Just to let you know I've created new game sound content which is up on the Hyperspin website. I have also worked on improving the original game sound content. Both are available to download.

    Synthetic HQ

  • Amazing and incredible, I really need one of these!

  • ultimate mame!1

  • What frontend are you using

  • Ahahaha, he said it both in the video and in the description. (It's Hyperspin-FE)

  • just from looking at your room...... WHERE DO YOU GET ALL THIS MONEY!???

Somehow I just wish I was there to see it.

  • I notice you have themes for Mame, but do you have themes for all "32 thousand" games? I'd like to see you enter other systems besides just mame. Thanks

  • The themes are created from hundreds of individuals that have a real passion for the system and the front end. I will update the video soon with more then just mame. But it will be years before every system, and every game has a theme. Lets face it, some games don't deserve themes... While most do.

  • Incredible set-up - can't make out precisely the art you're using for the control panel - it look like a reflective silver finish, though maybe that's just the result of merky video resolution. Can you exp? Much appreciated!

  • no art work is on the Control Panel as of now.. saving up to put a 3D graphics on it, with a light shinning thur the bottom to make it pop out. Costs 1,300 just to print up.

  • hi , is there a torrent anywhere that has a completed set of themes videos roms etc . i cant find one and ive spent ages trying to confiugure everything on my own . any help would be appreaciated .

  • Nice Mame setup man! i like it :)

got a question what specs u use for you're PC ( processor, memory, videocard ? i know there is 6 TB on HDD :P ) very cool!

  • just wondering can u make a video on how to install the roms on n64 i chatted with the guys on hyperspin but just cant get it right i got the mame to work but all other stuff just does not work please help!!!!!!

  • Awesome setup !. inspiring. What model of tv is that 3d ready?

  • SamSung 50 inch.

  • oh my god i want that so bad how in the hell did you make that?? like im astonished good work you should invite me over to play dreamcast games hahaha good work

  • Hey man. Very, very nice set-up. Was just wondering what games look like on your TV. Have heard a lot of people complain that newer TV pictures are to sharp to play older games on and actually make the games look worse, older TV's are better cause they have a lower resolution. Just wondering because i was thinking of using a newer TV myself.

  • I think they look fine, and most Emulators have a built in Fuzzy/ Liner to get a more retor look. I personally think they look fine in HD.

  • WoW !!!! YOU ROCK !!!!!

  • i love hyperspin but cant get it to see my games ive tried all sorts of xml creators but no joy

  • Very cool. You should set up another vertical 50" for Pinball emulation too.

I like emulation, but I still own all the consoles as the later systems don't emulate all that well yet. I would emulate a game before buying it again on say Virtual console or something.

  • Wow, I just started working on my frontend (Game-ex) getting all the stuff how I want it, thought I would check out some other peoples setups... Yours is absolutely 100% what I want to do but can't afford... But I am building my cab from a 24' 4:3 LCD Monitor, Alienware CP, and the tankstick, with 2 lcd topguns, I will be documenting this on my youtube page soon, Hope you check it out... P.S. You have the best setup I have ever seen. Are you related to bill gates?

  • Not related to Bill Gates, just a big kid, I look forward to your videos. If I can help you with anything please just ask, and thamks for all the comments. =)

  • Hi Eqdruid,

Just wondering how u got the roms on Hyper Spin FE. I just installed it on my pc and i dont know how to get the roms in there. Can u help please? =}bankspr28

  • Dude, Your system is bad ass. I am around your same age (40 in October) and arcade games are the best bit of nostalgia from my childhood. Dragons Lair is also my fav. I am looking into building a system that the wife wont divorce me over. How much did yours run? Its way over the top and hows the Plasma for viewing?

  • the CP cost 2k, Computer 2.5k, Plasma 1.6k. Being able to play what ever ya wanted priceless. You can get buy with a cheap CP for about 2 -300, any P4 or better, but I went alittle over the top and future proofed it a bit. I can even get the wife to jo9in me in a few games, she kicks my butt in Galaga. And its a great center piece for conversation. It's the best hobby I have ever picked up.

  • Very cool. Your setup pushed me over the edge but I am going to do a 27" monitor. Im going to have to tuck my cabinet in the last bit of manspace I have left in the house. I am going to to the Tankstick and then later upgrade to a custom 4 player deal after I have broken the wife in. Anyway, mad props. Your setup is awesome. I also saw the Hyperspin FE on your vid for the first time so I am going to use that. I appreciate the quick response.

  • Wow, real nice setup man!

  • nice man

you should be in guiness book

  • yo jackass... Im almost 40 years old... I have been collecting games and systems since I was 6. And I dont trade or sell off my collection. Your assuming I don't own these games. And we all know what happens when you assume....

And yes... It did cost alot. But I am worth it. Troll

  • I Doubt you have 37,000 actually games if you do you should contact G.W.R. book and should also post a video of them all that would make you famous...... but your setup is very nice, you did a good job anywho.

  • actual*

  • there is 6 Terabytes of games, Considering that most Mame games dont take up more then 15 KiloBytes of space, you do the math =)

Also there are Differnt versions of alot of games, weather you wanted to play the Jap version of Street Fighter, UK Version, or US.

I don't nor will I ever find the time to play or use all of them on that machine it's nice to know that if I get a request from a friend thats visiting, I can load it up.

  • Nice front end

  • That is sick!

  • last question ;-) : What are the joysticks at the front you are using? Happs or U360s?

  • U360's

  • that is like the coolest thing ever!!

  • Wow, killer system!!!

Let me guess, if you are anything like me, you probably spend a lot more time setting up the emulators and such than actually playing the games? lol ;-)

  • your actually right... the kids around the block get more fun out of it then I do... hehe

  • Hi, brutal setup!! Is there any trick that makes the push buttons look brighter? Somehow they look brighter to me than others I have seen. thx.

  • It's jsut LED Wiz with the Reb, blue, Green LED's. Has a great app the customize the the design and flow of the colors. Thanks for the reply =)

  • can you play vectrex, or turbografx 16 games???

  • Plays all games, Playstation 2 and down. And every current PC game

  • nice dude

  • awesome. i so jelous. but what kind of computer specs do you have? i wonder if mine is able to have and load all that video and 3d stuff that fast.

  • HOLY CRAP @0@''' so... this total costs about $4,000usd ish ?

  • do any of the ps1, dc emualtors actually work though? not sure i know an emualtor that handles them perfectly

  • i think so , ps1 perfectly with epsxs , Dc pretty much perfect with Nulldc

  • holy fuck bro, inspirational

  • wow that is the coolest arcade ive every seen your a very lucky man i hope one day i can have something like this

  • That setup is INSANE! I am extremely impressed! I plan on making my setup but at the moment all I have is a 32" LCD HDTV so it wont be as awesome as yours. I like that hyperspin, very clean looking. Excellent job and thanks for the inspiration, I am now determined to make my dream a reality!

  • You have one incredible setup ! I would like some detailed information on your setup. Can you e-mail me with some details ? Nice job !

  • any help for the roms. i just some but most are broken.

how about a torrent or a point in the right direction

  • HOLY CRAP!

  • Hello, I just got started on my own mame project.

    What's the 6TB harddrive for?

Have you really needed that much space for all the games and stuff...or are you using the HD for other things as well?

Or is it the PSX games that hog up space?

What kind of HD you think I need for a cab with everything but PSX?

    Thanks

  • WOW very nice! I know how much work goes into a project like this, you have patients!! I love the hyperspin front end, and will be using it on my arcade, I am currently making some themes for games that are not on the hyperspin website. Did you make some games themes of your own?

  • WOW very nice! I know how much work goes into a project like this, you have patients!! I love the hyperspin front end, and will be using it on my arcade, I am currently making some themes for games that are not on the hyperspin website. Did you make some games themes of your own?

  • hooked up with 6 USB hubs. And two extra USB's for the PS2 Joysticks. 1 for the Topgun light gun.

    thanks for the comments =)

  • Wow, awesome. So, is this a computer hooked up to the joypad via USB? Is it a special OS or just that "Hyperspin-fe" running inside another OS? That's an amazing setup man.

  • O my god.

  • wow you're a mad man :) how much does a setup like that cost anyway?

  • Thanks, Its still a work in progress.

CPU with 6 Terabytes HD and HD Video, 2K

    Control Panel with LEDWIZ 2K

    HD 3D Plasma 1.5K

Being able to play any game in the world..

    Priceless

  • Not too expensive

  • 2 quick questions.

What DDD product did you use?

How do you power your ledwiz do they just plug into the usb ports on computer?

  • Don't make the same mistake I did, and buy your 3D glasses and software from DDD... They have no support and shitty drivers. I would sudjest getting your drivers from IZ3D and buying the shutters from Ebay, or anywhere else. DDD doesnt email ya back, they don't answear thier phones, and 1/2 the drivers won't work.

The LEDWIZ are all plug into the CPU I added 12 extra USB ports to my rig so taht all of them got 5V's each.

Can't wait to see your set up =) and good luck =)

  • Damn, hats off to you for having probably one of the most awesome things to ever have in a room.

  • where did u get the program to scroll through all of your games?

  • Hyperspin-fe google is your friend =)

  • srsly... you've got too many resources at your disposal. I mean... srsly.
