My Bichon came to me because " we can't affored him anymore " . I think the truth of the matter is that they got him as a puppy for their 10 year old and now she's 14 and more interested in texting and boys. :( I don't understand how people can give up their pets. You're a saint for being a rescue Mom. We have two Bichons that we adopted from a rescue group. They are the best and most spoiled little dogs you've ever seen. Of course they run our household.
Anyway, it's great that you do what you do. I can't believe that puppy mills are even allowed anymore. It's just criminal. I always tell people to get a dog from the pound or a rescue group...and don't EVER buy from ANY type of breeder whatsoever.
Oh, it's so wonderful to see your beautiful pups. Our hearts are in the same place. I lost my baby boy, Scoots, at 5 from cancer on heart and spine. I think he was from a puppy mill because we bought him from a local pet shop. It really hurt so very much. Haven't had much luck with pedigreed dogs.
my brother has rescued two Bichon Angel & Bella who were locked in a garage and left there, T_T,
they're only 2, Bella has someone wrong with her eyes duck it looks like she crying, they are even scared of new people when you first meet them, but after a while they grow on you,
also wee angel & Bella loves to sleep on my bed when they come down and stay for a weekends
we need more people like you in the world your a star :D

He started biting at people? I find that hard to believe. Bichons are NOT agressive....My "son" died a couple years back at 17.5 years of age. People who mistreats dogs should be put UNDER the jail...
@lostinkorea28 any dog can be aggressive... its not relative to the breed, certain breeds have higher likelyhoods to be aggressive but ANY dog can be aggressive

Your fluffs are so cute. I don't understand how people can hurt poor defenseless animals. I have a chocolate lab mix and he gets treated like he is the king.
The first two don't have their hair fluffed out like the third and fourth ones do. The first one acts different because, as the video's titles said, he/she was in a puppy mill for 12 years. Probably was used as a male stud dog. So it is pretty understandable why he'd be a bit mentally slow. The second, third and fourth act like normal Bichons.
A puppy mill really breaks the spirit of a dog. As I have adopted a 2nd bichon girl to befriend with our male bichon who has been with us 11yrs. She is progressing gaining confidence . I think she would be lost without the guideance of our male bichon but still is a wonderful dog.

Hi supermustang1, Rocket wasn't mad in the video. Before we rescued him he got sick and wasn't properly medicated for epilepsy, poor baby. He is fine now:-) Your snoopy sounds like a sweetheart:)
I am a mom to a two year old Bichon named Prince Joseph of Riverpointe. But he doesn't care for the nobility of his name. He just goes by Jo Jo. Robin Presnall and Small Paws Rescue are awesome at best. Cyn taking in 4 babies that would have otherwise been destroyed is a testament to loving people that see the good in all!

Thanks Jason. You should tell your parents that Bichon's do NOT shed and that many people with allergies do fine with owning a Bichon. Even when their hair is wet it does not have that typical dog smell to it...it's more like human hair. Thanks for stopping by:)

I'm a Small Paws volunteer as well. We failed Fostering 101 and adopted our Nate. But we just passed Fostering 101 today when we handed Sam and Sadie over to their new forever Mom and Dad. I believe so much in the Small Paws mission.
Congratulations on finding a great forever home for Sam and Sadie:) Have you gotten another foster yet? I know they need homes for the mill puppies that just came in. Small Paws is the most wonderful group of people I have ever been envolved with. The prayer warriors is such a bonus for our sick and needy. Keep up the good work:)
We haven't gotten a new foster yet. We're in the process of making a decision that may bring lots of changes to our household so we have to wait until that's settled before getting a new foster.
Now that is what this forum should be all about, sharing our stories and videos of our pampered precious furries, but to also inspire in eachother to remember the bichons out there who have it less fortunate and need one of our great homes and hearts!!! I for one am inspired....So is Clara!

He has a very bad case of Psoriasis. It can be very painful but it is not contagious.

I have a Bichon named Fluffy we sometimes call her Fluffster! I think is so wonderful you are part of this organization, you gave these dogs such a wonderful caring home. They are a perfect match for you. Bichons are compassionate dogs and your Bichons have a very compassionate mommy! Great clip!

Lynn, Thankyou so much for the kind words. We are constantly looking for new volunteers for fostering. It is so rewarding and lots of fun:) Bichons seem to really enjoy other Bichons company. We get alot of Mill puppies that have never been outside of a cage:(

Three cheers (and woofs) for Small Paws! We adopted our awesome dog, Paddington, through them. What a great organization. Please always adopt! It's totally rewarding and worth it. Spread the word!

I agree about rescues! My husband & I volunteer to find homes for retired greyhounds! 10,000 a year are being killed! I hope you like my channel as much as I like yours!
